I have not written a bio for myself so here are some things about me.

1. I love tigers.

I honestly love these animals so much. They are beautiful, very majestic and look mysterious. I would love to be face to face with one, maybe one day when I'm not too scared. When I was younger I used to be afraid of both cats and dogs so I have to idea how I grew fond of tigers.

2. I am a dancer.

I absolutely love to dance and also teach it. I have been dancing for about 17 years. It is my passion and when I am able to get into a studio, turn on the stereo and just dance, that brings me pure joy. With dance, I am able to express my feelings and emotions through movement.

3. I love me some Thai food.

Oh, my I love Thai food. I basically eat Thai food every week and my favorite dishes are Pineapple fried rice and drunken noodles. I could honestly have drunken noodles every night and never get fed up of it (I could actually go for some right now). Drunken noodles are stir-fried flat noodles with to die for sauce; bell pepper, basil, and chili paste bless the dish. My choice of restaurant is Thai Basil so shout out to them! To the many, dishes that doesn't look appetizing but the taste makes up for the look.

4. I want a Siberian husky.

Siberian huskies are absolutely beautiful and just like tigers have a mysterious look. Since I was in elementary school I wanted a husky, it's pretty ironic because I wanted a husky even though I was afraid of dogs. 11 years later and I still want a husky. I will keep dreaming of having one until I get one.

5. My favorite seasons are Spring and Autumn.

Somehow I feel like these seasons represent renewal and I find that blissful. For example, the flowers bloom bringing in the warm weather and beautiful colors in Spring. During Autumn, all the leaves change colors and fall. Both seasons aren't too hot or too cold. I think the weather is perfect for both seasons. They are also very photogenic seasons.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
