Here are some suggested rules for your swiping journey to find love, or just the kind of love you need for a night.
1. Group Pictures:
If their first picture is a group picture this is a toss up whether to swipe right or left. It could mean they're really social, and love hanging out with friends. Or, it could mean they're very insecure about people judging them and need the other people in their pic as sort of a buffer (aka not the most attractive person, so they need to camouflage in a group). But really, who has the time for a "Where's Waldo?" search.
2. Crazy eyes:
Everyone knows them. Slight bulge, wild, and something just seems a little off in their gaze. Usually found in moderate-to-highly attractive people. I know most guys swipe 99% to the right, but to avoid these psycho ones definitely take a close look. My boyfriend's most recent ex had a real bad case of the crazy eyes.
3. Puppy/Kitten:
Always, and I mean always, swipe right for that adorable little cutie munchkin. I don't care if this person is the most unattractive person ever, or is a convicted felon, you gotta do it for the little one! Fish are a different story. Going to school in the south for two years provided me with a plethora of fish-holding hooligans.
4. Age:
If they look like they're 50, they probably are. If they look like they're 12....well just double check with them because I'm 20 and get mistaken for 15 ALL THE TIME. "Age is just a number" does not apply on Tinder. If they are more than 5 years older, they're most likely a creep. Make sure you adjust the age in the preferences section.
5. Picture:
If you see a 10/10 swipe right, even throw them a coveted super like, but most people only put their best pics up in their profile, just remember that. In person they could look like someone completely different; I suggest adding them on IG or Snapchat so you can double check their pics!
