Twinkling lights glitter far below
The distance only a stark reminder of my fear
The swinging of my seat as the cold wind blows
Dangling above the safety that I long for
The pole is a lifeline, the only way that I will survive
I tell it all my secrets, as we swiftly circumnavigate
The movement, it is welcomed compared to a sedentary state
Suddenly my qualms vanish, as if whisked away from the stars so close
Only to return again as we pause and take a moment from our high up perch
