The talk of the town these days is Fergie's performance of the national anthem. If you haven't seen it, here's the link. She has since apologized and informed her audience that she is, as an artist, a natural risk taker. If you would call what she does art then I'd concede to call it abstract at best.
Needless to say, it was bad. Some have even gone so far as to say that her performance was a deliberate attack on America. Here's my thing; If everyone who was untalented in America was considered a terrorist, American Idol would be funded by the FBI.
Fergie doesn't hate America, she just butchered the national anthem. The real question we need to ask is who did this to us? I don't know how much we can blame Fergie for her performance because someone had to ask Fergie to sing. Instead of being mad at Fergie, we should be mad at whoever paid Fergie to do this. You asked for Fergie and you got Fergie. Not quite sure what everyone expected here. She did her best and took a risk! It's Fergie, honestly, what did you expect?
