If you have been keeping up with these articles, you have seen that women have been making a name for themselves and paving the way for others in every field there is. We have been making unparalleled progress over the last few decades, but there is still so much room for improvement.

Comedy, in particular, has always been a boy's club. Female comics earn less, get fewer lines, and even less screen time. Hollywood has long viewed female comedians as a niche market, but "Bridesmaids," "Broad City," and "Girls Trip"have all been incredibly successful and instant classics.

Here's to the women who have been making us laugh for years.

1. Tiffany Haddish

You may know Haddish from her breakout role in "Girls Trip,"but she has been in comedy for some time before that. She starred on shows on NBC and OWN before becoming a household name. In November of 2017, she became the first black female comedian to host "SNL" and released her memoir the following month. She has said that comedy "literally saved her life."

2. Nasim Pedrad

Pedrad is an Iranian-American actress and comedian. She has starred in shows like "New Girl" and "Scream Queens." Pedrad's most recognizable performances are from her five years as a cast member on "SNL." She is well known for her celebrity impressions that range from Aziz Ansari to Kristen Chenoweth.

3. Jessica Williams and Phoebe Robinson

Ms. Williams got her start as the youngest correspondent ever on "The Daily Show." She now has a podcast, "2 Dope Queens," with Phoebe Robinson who created and writes for the show. They often have other female comedians and people of color join the podcast.

4. Issa Rae

Rae got her start on her YouTube channel "Awkward Black Girl," which helped her land the position as creator, co-writer, and star of her award-winning HBO show "Insecure." She has continued her YouTube show as a way to get exposure for artists who are people of color.

5. Tina Fey and Amy Poehler

After some time in stand up, Fey earned a job as a writer, then head writer, for SNL. Fey has had a hand in many of the well-known comedic movies and TV shows for the last 20 years. However, her partner-in-crime, Amy Poehler, has been there for many of these accomplishments. Poehler and Fey started off co-anchoring "Weekend Update" on "SNL" and have since gone on to make many blockbuster hits and award winning shows since then, many of which have helped other female comics get their start.

6. Samantha Bee

She is a Canadian-American comedian, writer, producer, and she is the first woman to host her own late-night satire show. "Full-Frontal with Samantha Bee" first aired in the winter of 2016. She made an effort to hire a more diverse staff when starting the show. The show has won several awards and has already been renewed for seasons through 2020.

7. Mindy Kaling

Known for her roles on "The Mindy Project" and "The Office," Kaling is a veteran of comedy. She has been writing for comedians and comedy pieces since she was at Brown University. Now, she is an accomplished writer, actress, and producer.

8. Ellen DeGeneres

Who doesn't love Ellen? Her wildly popular and long-running talk-show "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" is just one of her many comedic roles. In 1997, she and her character came out on her show, making her the first openly gay woman to play a lesbian on television. Since then, she has hosted the Academy Awards, started her own production company and record company, won 30 Emmys, and been given the Presidential Medal of Freedom.

9. Lily Tomlin

Tomlin got her start on a comedy variety show in the late 1960s. Since then she has stared in movies, worked on broadway, and voiced many of our favorite animated characters. After coming out in 2006, she has been vocal about LGBT rights and fostering other queer works. She is currently in the Netflix show "Grace and Frankie."

10. Kate Mckinnon

If you haven't seen one of Kate Mckinnon's impersonations, you need to get on YouTube right now. She is now the longest serving female and first openly lesbian cast member of SNL, and she has also starred in movies like the "Ghostbusters"reboot.

Dear High School Friend Group,

My sweet angels, where would I be without you guys. We all grew up together because we either met in middle school or high school and watched each other grow up and get "old." We got to go to prom together and then graduate together. Then watched each other as we continued our lives in college, joining sororities and meeting people who will impact our lives forever. It all has happened so fast.

Oh college, we can’t live with you, but we can’t live without you. It’s a love/hate relationship, really. College is an experience that no one can ever prepare you for, and maybe that’s a good thing. You never really expect any of the things that college encompasses until you are there. College is fun, but don’t have too much fun. C’s get degrees, but they don’t get you into graduate school.

Blair Waldorf

The "Gossip Girl" series may be over, but Blair Waldorf's iconic character lives in our hearts forever. Blair was the queen of the Upper East Side, and a character you either loved or hated. She taught us everything we needed to know about life, love and of course, how to score a Chuck Bass. So the next time you feel a bit lost and are in need of guidance, look no further than to the Queen B herself.

As I spend my Sunday avoiding my homework and other adult responsibilities, I realized that I've watched this series over and over about a million times. Sadly, there isn't a Blair quote I don't know, so I came up with a list of a few favorites. You know you love her...xoxo
