About a week or so ago, I finished reading "Trouble is a Friend of Mine" by Stephanie Tromly. The book seemed to get really good reviews online and was a recommended as a summer read, so I decided to give it a read.
Oh my word, it was so good.
Seriously, I would recommend this book to anyone that is looking for a good read. The ending left me hanging and the whole entire book was entertaining and fun to read in general. On a five star scale system, I would definitely give this five out of five stars. Now it's your turn to go and check it out (literally and figuratively)!
As I sat there refusing to accept the fact that the book was finished and that there was still more to find out, I thought about the other books that have left me feeling the same way once I finished them: "Finding Audrey," "The Fault in Our Stars" (and literally every John Green book that exists on this earth), and "Hung Up" by Kristen Tracy, just to name a few. I then decided to depict what a bookworm experiences whenever they get their hands on a really good book, and what better way to demonstrate that than through GIFS?
1. When you called something in the earlier part of the book and it ends up happening later on towards the end.
2. When the character you absolutely hate opens their mouth.
3. When you finish a book that: a) leaves you hanging; b) wanting more; and c) practically throwing a tantrum because you refuse to accept the fact that it's over.
4. On that same note, when you read a book that's so good you're either waiting for it to be made into a movie or for the author to release a sequel to the book (I'm looking at you, John Green).
5. When the couple in the book that you shipped ends up getting together.
6. When something in the book totally throws you for a loop because you had no idea it was coming.
7. When the book becomes such a page-turner that you can't put it down at all because you need to know what happens next.
8. When you and your best friend are reading the same book and get to the same sad part at or around the same time.
9. When, heaven forbid, your favorite character dies, even though you knew it was coming eventually.
10. When you approach a very "tumblr-worthy" quote that hits home with you.
11. When everything finally adds up and makes sense to you, which ends up blowing your mind.
12. Last but not least, when there's a good, solid ending that makes you feel glad that you actually read the book.
Reading a really good book is like an emotional rollercoaster; one minute you're feeling one thing, and not even 30 seconds later something happens that makes you feel the complete opposite. Despite that, it's a good journey that is always worth it in the end, and you're willing to do it again and again with other books you find in the future.
