You and your pet go through so many good and bad times together. He’ll love you no matter what, even if you’re threatening to get rid of him or send him to the pound. They try hard to please you, so you can’t really stay mad at them. Having a pet means having a friend who is always at home and will listen to your problems, even if he can't talk back. No matter what type of pet you have, each owner goes through some of the same experiences with their little best friend. Here are some feelings that every pet owner will understand.
1. When he's ready for the morning just a little too early
After just three hours of sleep somehow your pet is awake and ready for the day at 5 AM, and he knows you should be up too. He already has more energy than you will have all day, and hearing his noises this early just makes you annoyed. But honestly, what's a better start to your morning than seeing your baby excited to see you?
2. Walking into the room to find a big mess
Was he bored or did he not want you to finish reading every one of those magazines on the table? Seeing your books and furniture destroyed may be one of the most aggravating things to walk in the room to, but you can't be mad for long when you see how sorry he is to make you mad.
3. Having to leave your pet home alone...
It feels so neglectful sometimes to leave him alone with no one for a few hours, but you fill his food and water bowls to the top and make sure he has everything he needs while you're away. The worst part is seeing his face as you're walking out the door, and you'll probably think about what he's doing while nobody is home.
4. And then coming home to see him after a long day
He's been waiting hours to play with you again, so why shouldn't he run around and greet you with some excited kisses as you walk into the house?
5. When someone asks to see a picture of him
“Yeah let me try to find one real quick. Oh here’s a good one, and here’s him chewing on his new treat too, and this was him last week after his bath!” You’ve been waiting for someone to care about your pet, and this is an opportunity to let it be known how much you love him. Of course, you have pet photo shoots whenever he’s having a cute moment, and yes you do even have a photo album on your phone just for pictures to brag about your fur baby.
6. Bringing him to get groomed
He might hate it, but he looks oh so adorable when you go to pick him up a couple hours later. You hope the groomer treats him nicely, and you're worried that he might get hurt in their care.
7. Accidentally hurting your pet
Even if your pet doesn't seem to care much, it's devastating to accidentally step on a paw or kick your pet while you're moving. You'll apologize multiplexes times and give him some extra love, but you still feel that he's injured and upset with you.
8. When you find someone with the same pet as you
"You have a dachshund too? They need to meet each other; they'll be best friends!" Then you compare pictures of each pup and say "Yeah they do kinda look the same!"
9. Fur. Everywhere.
For those shedding pets, their owners know the struggle of finding fur on and in everything. You planned on wearing those nice clothes that you left out of the closet, but now do you think anyone will notice the fur all over your sweater? Or going to sit on the recliner and finding that thin layer of fur that says "Yes, I've been sitting here all day" and having to clean it up first.
10. Opening the food/treat bag
He can hear the sound of an opening treat bag from across the house, and he knows that means he's about to get rewarded with a snack. You've never seen him more excited than this, and he'll come running for you and beg to get that treat right away.
