Woman, tired of the same look? 10 Things you can do now.

First of all, I am very grateful for getting older. I feel blessed, but sometimes don't you stop and think, when did I get so old? Well I came up with a short, but meaningful list of ten things to do now to feel young again. Maybe you aren't old, but just feel it. These are some things you can try! Tell me what you think and comment below.

1. Change your hair style - I know it's a little obvious but it worked for me!

You know you have a hair style you've been thinking about for a while. Why don't you try it? For the longest time I wanted to try a fun hair color. I recently made my hair a dark magenta color, and by the way, I am loving it! I really like it so much, that I don't think I am going back to my old ways any time soon. I have received compliments, but the most important part is that I like it. I don't know why I didn't try it sooner, but it's never too late!

2. Go back to the music you used to listen to and blast that sh*t!

Sometimes we need to dig deep into the music we loved when we were younger. This will make you feel instantly young again because it will take you back to that time when you discovered your favorite artists. Plus, music brings back memories and feelings and make you feel young again. You got this!

3. Go explore the world and not in your car!

Stop driving your car everywhere and get out using a different mode of transportation. I say this, because sometimes we need to look at the world from a different point of view. If you don't have a bike, you can try walking. Wherever you live, they must have a nice walking trail for you to try out! Also try traveling! Even it's just within your state, travel so you can learn new things and feel young again!

4. Journal- Remember to journal daily or at least once a week!

Sometimes it feels so good to go back and read how your life has been going. Sometimes we need to go back and read about certain events in our lives. Especially during these Covid times, it's important to journal all the changes we went through.

5. Start making new friends.

Hey now that Covid restrictions are lifting, maybe now is a good time to meet friends in new places. Maybe it's time to renew gym membership. Whenever you least expect it, you will find people gravitate towards you. Whatever is meant to be, will be, but making new friends will show you different things you have been missing out in your life. This a plus when making friends from different ages.

6. Be spontaneous! Don't follow the rules!

Routine can kill our happiness. Yes, I don't know about you, but I don't like routine as other people do. Yes, some things are good to do as a routine, like brushing our teeth or hitting the gym. I am talking about stepping out, taking a day to do something meaningful for yourself! For example, take the time to visit family or friends that you haven't seen in a while. Maybe, it's time to take that trip you've always wanted to do. To others, it can be as simple as taking a day off of work to pamper yourself. Basically plan a day for yourself to take care of yourself, emotionally, spiritually or physically. I think we all need this form time to time, but we all can get lost in our "routines".

7. Follow your passion- Don't get stuck and develop some aspect of yourself!

If you always wanted to learn an instrument, do it! If you always wanted to get that tattoo, get it! It's now or never. Time is precious and we should really do what makes us happy, as long it's not harming others. I strongly believe life is too short, and we're not here to please others. If you have worked so hard, then you should reward yourself. Maybe get that car you've always wanted. It's all up to you!

8. Express yourself- Get a tattoo, maybe?

Find the best way to express what you have been wanting to express for so long! Try getting that tattoo you've always wanted. If that's not your thing, paint! Everyone needs to find the best way to express themselves. Some like making jewelry and making digital media. Whatever it is, learn to express yourself.

9. Listen to other types of music.

I strongly believe in this one. I am a music lover. I turn on my Blue tooth speaker and I start bumping my favorite music. When I listen to music I feel good, and I can focus on whatever I am doing. Music is so important to many of us. Music influences our moods and thoughts.

10. Reconnect with your childhood friends.

This is by far my number one recommendation and I saved the best for last! I recently visited by best friend who lives in another state. I felt like time didn't pass us by! We talked about our childhood days and we had fun hanging out and I didn't feel old talking about our past. No one knows you better when you were younger than your childhood friends, even our parents and family did not know us like them! Friends know us inside and out and have seen all the stupid thing we may have done when we were younger.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.

Thanksgiving break is over and Christmas is just around the corner and that means, for most college students, one hellish thing — finals week. It's the one time of year in which the library becomes over populated and mental breakdowns are most frequent. There is no way to avoid it or a cure for the pain that it brings. To prove it, here are just a few of the many deranged thoughts that go through a college student's mind during finals week.

I know every college student has daily thoughts throughout their day. Whether you're walking on campus or attending class, we always have thoughts running a mile a minute through our heads. We may be wondering why we even showed up to class because we'd rather be sleeping, or when the professor announces that we have a test and you have an immediate panic attack.
