"I have so much to do." I can not remember that last day I did not say these words out loud. Especially in the season of finals and the holidays, I find myself getting distracted and overwhelmed by seemingly larger than life tasks. People say "there are not enough hours in the day" however I do believe there will always be time for these eight simple tasks.
1. Drink
Divide your body weight in half. That is the number in ounces of water you should consume each day.
2. Exercise
Get moving! Endorphins make you happy and satisfy you.
3. Pray
No matter to who, just allow yourself to connect with a power larger than you.
4. Compliment someone
A short and kind gesture to make someone else's day a little brighter.
5. Treat yourself
Sometimes we are too strict with out routines. Walk to your favorite cafe and get yourself a coffee. Bring a friend, talk about something other than the 100 things you both need to get done.
6. Unplug
Close your laptop. Put your phone away. Take a deep breath. Get yourself out of the online world we are constantly connected to. Read a book. Journal. Color.
7. "Do one thing every day that scares you."
8. Give thanks
You don't want to take anything for granted. Before going to bed, write down three things you have been grateful for that day.
