There can be much fear in dream-following, from the woes of failure to the dark clouds of self-doubt that always tend to loom in the recesses of a hopeful brain. Especially at the collegiate age, one is likely to lose all hope of chasing those seemingly unattainable dream jobs, beautiful images of the lives we all want to live. While it may be disheartening to not exactly land all the incredible internships it seems everyone else is getting, it pays to hold out and stay tough. Everyone wants to live their dreams, and it takes a lot of guts to stick to that dream, the one that no one thinks you'll achieve, the thing that you want more than anything that also seems the most out of reach.
These dreams are the best dreams.
People who have these dreams are amazing simply for even wanting reach so high, but it takes a special flavor of human being to actively sacrifice money, sleep, and happiness for the chase of these lovely towers of passion and hope. The world is chock-full of opportunities, but the effort to stick around and give everything you have is the virulent price to pay, a price that could prove to be breaking. That's the rub, though, and also the key: happiness is in the effort to succeed, the knowledge that you've tried your best to be exactly what you want, at the best of your ability. Believing in yourself is equally as important as grades, and as long as the passion and fire for your chosen dream is fully present, burning in your throat, you will succeed and achieve. It's not easy to just write your future; one must live it, fight for it, and win it every step of breath taken -- it will be worth it.
