Unfortunately, it has been announced that Vine will shut down. The social media platform quickly rose to fame in 2012 and now seems to face an early death. Vine's greatest contribution to society has been the 6 second comedy. With the announcement of Vine's impending shutdown, I felt it my civic duty to make sure that all people see these 6 second masterpieces. These are the vines that keep me young. They've helped me through some real rough patches with the power of unadulterated stupidity. Now, I'm just praying that Twitter will decide to sell Vine and keep it in existence. Otherwise I'm going to have to start recording this stuff down for future generations.

Warning: Some of the Vines in this article contain mature language - as such, they are NSFW.

1. "Leggo My Eggo"

This one really speaks for itself. What can I say other than the acting is so nuanced. Superb, even. This is one of the Vines I find myself always coming back to.

2. The Hoverboard

Remember when the Hoverboard was huge? Well, maybe it's not so huge anymore because of stuff like this. While I feel kind of bad, something about this Vine has me bursting into laughter every time.

3. "Fre Shavacado"

The sheer excitement in the voice of this Viner when he realizes what he has said is really what gets me. It's just really fun to say "Fre Shavacado!!"

4. "Y'all Gon' See Me"

We've all experienced this Vine before. You get all dressed up, but got nothing to do. Well, just run outside and force the world to see you.

5. "I'm Washing Me and My Clothes"

If you haven't experienced this friend, maybe you are this friend. Don't try to understand the drunk logic, just thank the heavens it was recorded for us all to revel in.

6. "Healthy Snack Rebecca"

All I can say is that this is the funniest parody of the suburban mom/suburban teen I have ever seen.

7. "Be Yaself Bitch"

Just some simple words of advice. If this could've been my high school senior quote, trust me, it would have been.

8. "Why You Mad?"

This vine was EVERYWHERE. I don't even have anything to say about it. It's just a masterpiece. It belongs in a museum.

9. "I Won't Hesitate"

I don't know who raised these kids, but whoever they are, they raised them right. Everything about this Vine is hilarious. From the voices, to the gestures, to the music, to the costumes.

10. "Dun Dun"

Again, don't know where this little girl's parents are, but I'm so glad someone recorded this moment. The cherry on top is the Law and Order tie-in.

11. "Valentino White Bag"

I would say this one is my other favorite parody of the suburban mom/suburban teen, but this one is real. The fact that she knew her mom would react like that and decided to record it makes it much more satisfying.

12. "I Dare You"

This vine is really just me on a daily basis.

7 Ways to Make Your Language More Transgender and Nonbinary Inclusive

With more people becoming aware of transgender and non-binary people, there have been a lot of questions circulating online and elsewhere about how to be more inclusive. Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. If the wrong language is used, the place is unsafe and shows a lack of education on trans and non-binary issues. With the right language and education, there can be more safe spaces for trans and non-binary people to exist without feeling the need to hide their identities or feel threatened for merely existing.

Blair Waldorf
Stop Hollywood

For those of you who have watched "Gossip Girl" before (and maybe more than just once), you know how important of a character Blair Waldorf is. Without Blair, the show doesn’t have any substance, scheme, or drama. Although the beginning of the show started off with Blair’s best friend Serena returning from boarding school, there just simply is no plot without Blair. With that being said, Blair’s presence in the show in much more complex than that. Her independent and go-getter ways have set an example for "Gossip Girl" fans since the show started and has not ended even years after the show ended. Blair never needed another person to define who she was and she certainly didn’t need a man to do that for her. When she envisioned a goal, she sought after it, and took it. This is why Blair’s demeanor encompasses strong women like her.

singing
Cambio

Singing is something I do all day, every day. It doesn't matter where I am or who's around. If I feel like singing, I'm going to. It's probably annoying sometimes, but I don't care -- I love to sing! If I'm not singing, I'm probably humming, sometimes without even realizing it. So as someone who loves to sing, these are some of the feelings and thoughts I have probably almost every day.
