I may have a different taste of music than a lot of people, but 2016 was a good year for the punk world. Pierce the Veil finally released a new album, and Warped Tour 2016 was one for the books. Those 365 days gave me some of then greatest songs yet, and I can't help but reflect on what my favorites were.

You and I by Pvris - Lyndsey Gunnulfsen has a powerful voice and did not disappoint when releasing this song.

Floral and Fading by Pierce the Veil - Finally, four years after they Released their album Collide with the Sky... they released their new album titled Misadventures. As I kept this album on repeat for a majority of 2016, I couldn't help but love the song Floral and Fading the most. It's unique and original, but still has that good Pierce the Veil sound.

Don't Threaten Me With A Good Time by Panic! at the Disco - Brendon Urie's voice is my utmost weakness. He released the album Death of a Bachelor in 2016, and this song is definitely one of my favorites.

Mess by Real Friends - Real Friends will always, always be my all time favorite band. I was beyond excited when they released their new album titled The Home Inside My Head in 2016. I love the song Mess because of how much I can relate with it. It reminds me of recovery and improving yourself which I absolutely love.

Santeria (Live) by Sleeping with Sirens - Sleeping with Sirens released an album titled Live and Unplugged in 2016. Here they recorded songs live during their We Like it Quiet tour and put them in an album. They covered the song Santeria originally by Sublime and I can't help but love how they did it.

COMA by Issues - This song. I don't even know how to explain it because I am SO in love with it.

Roses by Against the Current - After Against the Current opened for The Ready Set, I couldn't help but fall in love with them. This song is catchy and has so much meaning in it.

No Love by The Ready Set - Speaking of The Ready Set... This song takes more of a pop turn. It is beyond catchy, and just might be better than everyone's favorite song by him, Love Like Woe.

Crutch by Set It Off - I think many people are able to relate to this song, and I think that is one of the sole reasons I love it so much. My favorite lyric from the song is, "Where you gonna be when I need somebody." I feel as though this reflects always giving your all to someone else, but not getting the same in return.

Colourblind by Hands Like Houses - He has the voice of an angel, and I am beyond in love with this song.

All My Friends by The Summer Set - This song is too catchy not to love. Listen to it.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.
