What Your Favorite Soft Drink Says About You

Coca-Cola

If you like Coca-Cola, then you probably are one of the most amazing people in this world. No doubt. Whenever you ask the waitress at a restaurant for Coke, you want only Coke. When the waitress replies with, "Is Pepsi okay?" you strongly contemplate replying with, "Is murder okay?"

*No, it's not, but you can't help but think about the absurdity of that question.

Diet Coke or Diet Anything

Diet Coke is all you drink and you use it as your excuse for having something healthy with your meal. You think the taste of regular Coke is gross, but I, personally think you are wrong. Diet Coke is nasty tasting and it's not even that healthy, BUT to each his own right? I guess if you like Diet Coke you're alright.

Dr. Pepper

Honestly you're the real homie if you drink Dr. Pepper. I've never met anyone as cool as you. You radiate spontaneity and adventure and pretty much have Dr. Pepper running through your veins. So props to you for being so rad.

Pepsi

Let me tell you about Pepsi lovers. I've never met one, so the fact that you are one is crazy. Some schools, like mine, are Pepsi schools which is probably the most unfortunate thing in the world, unless you like Pepsi. You probably have a major sweet tooth since Pepsi is one of the sweetest, sugariest drinks out there. I will admit the commercials for Pepsi are pretty awesome, but the Coca Cola ones are significantly better. I'm sorry, but if you are a Pepsi lover than you really haven't lived yet.

Sprite

It's no 7 Up but it's still pretty darn good. You Sprite lovers are wicked awesome and have a lot of spunk. It's you're worst nightmare to be at a restaurant and not seeing Sprite on their list of soft drink options and only seeing Sierra Mist. Another factor of being a Pepsi school is that Sprite is replaced by the godforsaken Sierra Mist. What a pity.

Lemonade

Lemonade is truly sent from the Gods. If you're enchanted by the tartness in Lemonade then you definitely have an attraction for the sweet yet delightfully sour things life. You like the beach, the sun, sunflowers. Pretty much yellow is your favorite color, and I've noticed pink is too.

Root Beer

Honestly, Root Beer fanatic, you are one strange homie. I can say that I am a Root Beer lover and I am so incredibly weird, but in the best way possible. Root Beer lover, you have a taste for the bubblier things in life. You probably really like the outdoors (aka the woods) and being one with nature. You keep doing you fam.

Taylor Swift in orange dress playing a moss-covered piano on stage with bright lights.

A three-and-a-half-hour runtime. Nine Eras. Eleven outfit changes. Three surprise songs. Zero breaks. One unforgettable evening. In the past century, no other performer has put on an electric performance quite like Taylor Swift, surpassing her fans ‘wildest dreams’. It is the reason supporters keep coming back to her shows each year. Days later, I’m still in awe of the spectacle ‘Miss Americana’ puts on every few days in a new city. And, like one of Taylor’s exes, has me smiling as I reminisce about the memories of the night we spent together.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.
