Our go to pasta speaks more of our personalities than a crystal ball.

Each pasta shape is different and unique. Certain kinds of pasta are paired with certain sauces and meats. Just like pasta, our personalities are unique. Could it be possible our go-to pasta choice reflects are personality?

1. Penne

Served best with a tomato base or creamy sauce. You are a sturdy person. You enjoy consistency and foreseen endings. You don't enjoy change, but rather like to live on the safe side. You are a go-to friend because you never change and are always there.

2. Farfelle

You are one classy noodle. Also known as the bowtie pasta, farfalle faired well as a pairing. You enjoy the high things in life. You spend money on couture and enjoy fancy dinner date outings. You are usually best dressed everywhere you go.

3. Orzo

You are a complex person. You are difficult to figure out and understand your personality. Much like orzo which is complex to cook and appears in complex dishes, you are a mystery to really know. Orzo appears in a small number of dishes, meaning you have a small friend group that is close and knows you best.

4. Elbow macaroni

You are versatile. Elbows are used is more than just mac and cheese (even though that might be your favorite). You are the flexible one out of the group and enjoy doing just about anything. You are not picky, but rather live simply.

5. Spaghetti

You most likely a classic type of person. Spaghetti is your go-to noodle because it is served almost anywhere. You enjoy the classics of bands, style, and food. You are an all-around flashback classic.

6. Rigatoni

You are an outdoors-loving kinda person if you enjoy this pasta. This pasta is usually in baked noodle dish such as baked ziti. You enjoy tan skin and living your life in the sun and warmth. You have nothing to hide because you have no ridges, making you an open person.

7. Tortellini

Tortellini is like a more noodly version of ravioli with less stuffing. It is a rough and tough kind of noodle just like you. You enjoy the risk and adventure of life. You are no dainty noodle that needs to be handled with care.

8. Campanelle

You are sassy and wild. Campanelle is a wild and crazy looking pasta, which is just how you like to live your life. You enjoy the rollercoaster life. You live your life in YOLO. You have funky fashion sense and be always looking for the next trend.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.
