To my favorite musically talented brothers. You're probably wondering who or you've already guessed. Yes they are the Jonas Brothers. It's been a little over two years since the Jonas Brothers have broken up and gone their separate ways. The boys have taught me so many things and have put so many people in my life that wouldn't be in my life otherwise. I had gotten judged and picked on for just liking the Jonas Brothers, but I didn't care. They were basically my everything. Their music helped me through everything. I mean how could people not like these guys? They played their own instruments, sang their own songs, wrote their own songs, and designed their own stages for their tours. To be honest, I don't remember a time in middle or high school with the Jonas Brothers not being in it.
These boys have given me a friend, Julie, that will last a lifetime. She's like a sister to me. I mean I call her my sister for Pete's sake. We met in I think the 7th grade, at a weekend long Girl Scout conference. We were roommates, she was playing the song "That's Just The Way We Roll" by the Jonas Brothers and from there we've been "Inseparable." (See what I did there?) We've been through loads with each other. Even though we only live 45 minutes away from each other when we aren't at school we were basically attached at the hip. Now I go to Ball State and she goes to St. Louis University but she is currently studying abroad in Australia. I think I'm going a bit crazy without her. So to my sister from another mother, I miss you so much and can't wait till you get back home. Julie isn't the only friend I've gained from knowing these boys. I've gained friends from other countries and all over the United States. Some friends have lost touch, but with others I still talk to regularly.
I was lucky enough to see them three times. I have so many good memories from these shows. My first JoBro show was with my mom. The second one was with my mom, Julie, and her mom. The third and final one was with Julie. We have so many good memories from these shows. I remember just being at a show and forgetting everything else in the world. Back in October 2013, when the Jonas Brothers announced their break up, I was devastated. We all were. It was a shock to everyone. I mean I think we all saw it coming but we just didn't want to admit it. A few days before their fall tour was supposed to start their Twitter was deleted with no explanation to the fans. Their band members found out just like we did. They left without a single word, not even sorry. (See I did it again) A few days after that happened they officially announced their break up on "The Today Show." I cried. Scratch that, I bawled — so did my friends. Like how could they do this after they have been on a two and a half year hiatus? We tried to focus on the funny and happy things that have happened through the years.
From the funny live chats to the crazy video of Joe dancing to "Single Ladies." The night the Team Jonas website went hella inappropriate. If we just say "Soon," "Bookcase," or "Lime Juice," we can start laughing because they are stories that remind us if the fun times we've had. When Kevin and Dani got married to them announcing they were expecting cute little baby Alena Rose. The fans stuck by them 100 percent. The boys made us all feel like a part of a family. We called each other brothers and sisters. We called their mom and dad, Mama & Papa Jonas. I mean we still do. We miss Big Rob. He was everyone's favorite and it was basically everyone's goal to be kicked out of their hotel or show by Big Rob. "Burnin' Up" will never be the same if Big Robs rap isn't there.
To The Jonas Family,
Thank you for everything. You taught me so many things. You helped me figure out what I wanted to do with my life. You taught me to follow my dreams. You taught me to pusher harder when people say you can't succeed. You taught me to prove to myself that I can do this, that I can make it in the industry. You were a big part of my support system. I miss you guys being on the road all the time. We all do. But we all know you guys are doing so much better and doing the things you love. We wish you all the best in each of your career choices. Thank you for all the music, friends, family, and memories throughout the years. I can never thank you enough. One day I'll get to say how grateful and thankful I am to your faces and I can't wait for that day to come. I love you guys so much.
