Everyone has their favorite holiday traditions and many families have different traditions they partake in during the holidays. In my family, we celebrate Christmas on Christmas Eve, unlike many families. But, here are the many traditions I love and continue to love no matter how old I get;

1.) Decorating the Christmas Tree;

This is my absolute favorite part about the holidays. Looking at the many ornaments we've bought and made throughout the years is mesmerizing. Putting the lights on the tree, and putting the angle on top makes me feel nostalgic. Absolute best.

2.) Spending time with the family;

Just like many people sometimes I can only take short bursts of family time. But, during the holidays it's a time I know my family will get along and we will always have a good time and memories to share.

3.) Snuggling and watching Christmas movies;

Many of my absolute favorite movies are Christmas movies like It's a wonderful life, Elf, and of course, The Grinch Stole Christmas. Only naming some of the best, all of them have a special place in my heart.

4.) Purchasing Gifts;

The people in my life deserve nothing but the best, so buying them something they have always wanted or needed makes it worthwhile.

5.) Playing in the snow;

Nothing better than going sledding or having a good snowball fight with your friends and family.

6.) Blasting Christmas music;

As the Grinch would say "Blast this Christmas music. It's joyful and triumphant."

7.) Reading a story before presents;

In our family, a tradition that started a long time ago we read a story before opening presents. Reading a story that teaches us a little lesson and keeps the tradition alive. It is my favorite part during our holiday festivities.

Everyone celebrates the holidays differently, but it's the best time of the year.

5 Untold Struggles Of The Short Friend

I'm the Short Friend. I've been the Short Friend since about the seventh grade. I'm the one who stands in the front of the photos, gets made fun of for their height, and still shops in the kids department.

This article is not for the Almost Short Friends, i.e. the 5'3" and 5'4" Friends. No no, this is for the Actually Short Friends, i.e. the Barely Scraping 5'1" and shorter Short Friends.

11 Things All Call Center Workers Can Empathize With Better Than Anyone

This semester I started my journey as a member of my University's Alumni Outreach Team. This means a lot of things, but primarily it means that I get to make phone calls to parents and alumni two nights a week to update contact information, collect things like business cards and volunteer hours, and even ask for money.
