What Your Favorite Holiday Cookie Says About You

It’s about that time of year when cinnamon fills the air and holiday lights line just about everything. Different types of holiday cookies are practically the best part about this season. All of these choices can really tell a lot about a person. From gingerbread all the way to peppermint bark, there is a flavor for everyone and a holiday cookie to match it.

1. Gingerbread cookies

This holiday specialty is not for the average cookie eater. This seasonal delicacy is a favorite of those looking for a more personal dessert. Attention to detail is key as the baker creates the perfect identity for their delicious holiday cookie. Frosting decorations are included and are a must.

2. Gingerbread houses

The gingerbread house is among the holiday treats that take the most creativity and planning. This person can visualize the architecture of this soon-to-be monument before all of the materials have even been prepped. This individual is strategic to say the least. All of the measurements and not to mention the well thought-out placement of gum drops are just a few examples of the tough considerations that this person handles regularly.

3. Pre-made Pillsbury cookies

Not to call anyone out, because these cookies are the bomb, but let’s not lie, these pre-made bad boys are for the last minuters. There may be a holiday party that you ran out of time to prepare something for, but everyone knows that these are always a crowd favorite. No judgment, but you’re probably slightly lazy, which is not a problem, because everyone loves you for your cookies!

4. Peppermint bark

This mostly chocolate treat is for a more refined taste. Not everyone is a huge fan of mint, especially when it’s mixed with chocolate. Those that can appreciate the combo are likely to be more open to trying new things and take risks when it comes to food. Think of it this way; peppermint bark does two jobs in one. It provides you with one of the best things ever invented, chocolate, and acts as a breath freshener with the mint. I guess that means that you’re the innovative type as well.

5. Decorated sugar cookies

Sugar cookies are the basics. Adding some holiday decorations is what helps to personalize this cookie. Although this person usually enjoys the classics and isn’t very picky, they occasionally like to jazz things up with some sprinkles or frosting. Not everything has to be simplistic, especially when it comes to desserts.

6. Snickerdoodles

The snickerdoodle is a classic and has been around forever. Its cinnamon sugar flavor and chewy texture have become a classic and a must when the holidays roll around. People that prefer the snickerdoodle are comfortable with what they’ve always done and continue their cooking traditions year after year.

6 Signs You Are An English Major

There are various stereotypes about college students, most of which revolve around the concept of your major. Unfortunately, we often let stereotypes precede our own judgments, and we take what information is immediately available to us rather than forming our own opinions after considerable reflection. If I got a dollar for every time my friends have made a joke about my major I could pay my tuition. One stereotype on campus is the sensitive, overly critical and rigid English major. Here are six telltale signs you are one of them.

27 Things 'The Office' Has Taught Us

"The Office" is a mockumentary based on everyday office life featuring love triangles, silly pranks and everything in between. It can get pretty crazy for just an average day at the office.

When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

Books were always about understanding for me, about learning the way someone else sees, about connection.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

I keep making this joke whenever the idea of books is brought up: "God, I wish I knew how to read." It runs parallel to another stupid phrase, as I watch my friends struggle through their calculus classes late at night in our floor lounge: "I hope this is the year that I learn to count." They're both truly idiotic expressions, but, when I consider the former, I sometimes wonder if there's some truth to it.
