It's the most wonderful time of the year! It's finally Christmas time with all the beautiful lights and the snowy scenes and the snowmen waving as you drive past.
Christmas time is such a magical and special time of year. It's when we remember our loved ones and remember why we celebrate this time of year.
Every year at Christmas, we decorate our homes with lights and trees and wreaths and different little knick-knacks that we have collected over the years. Christmas is supposed to be bright and merry throughout every single home.
The Christmas spirit and Christmas joy should be seen everywhere and in every person. We get caught up in the gift giving and decoration contests when we should remember the happiness that Christmas brings to our hearts.
Christmas is a time for making memories. So I'm going to tell you about one of my favorites.
Christmas was one, if not the only, time of year that my entire family on my mom's side met up and saw each other. We are spread out between Maryland, Virginia, Colorado, and Ohio. It was always special to see everyone for a week and spend time with them all.
My favorite Christmas memory was when my brother, Zach, my cousin, Tanner, and me were all goofing off together as usual. We would have nerf gun battles and we would play hide and seek with the five other cousins and we would make up games as we went along.
The most favorite things was when we were acting like soldiers like our Grandpa was (He was a Marine). We followed Tanner because he was the oldest and we would march around the house and march past the rest of the family and show off our incredible marching skills.
We would twirl around, we would be in step, we would even go on recon missions in the house, of course spying on the girl cousins and they doll-playing or boy-talking.
It was always a blast to be able to do our own thing and have a fun time while doing it and that will always be one of my favorite Christmas memories.
