Yes, I admit, I am one of the many Bernie Sanders supporter. Yes, I actually know who I am supporting, and what his goals were he to become President. I am not mindlessly supporting a candidate, just because. I've supported him through rallies, voting(still very sad he lost here in MA), very recently donated to his campaign following his Indiana win, and even purchased a hat I found on Etsy that reads "Bernie For President 2016".

To date, these are Senator Sanders' numbers. Despite the bleak reality, through the tireless efforts of his numerous supporters in all 50 states, as well as the states that are left in the primaries, I believe that Senator Sanders will gain the votes he needs to be able to win the Democratic nomination.

I refuse to give up so soon, especially not when it's the first time being given the privilege to vote for the person I believe should be President. I have the power to control this nation's destiny, we all do, every last one of us have the power to change the fate of the Sanders' run for President. Which is why I was inspired to attach some of my favorite quotes from Senator Sanders, which frankly are proof that he truly is the candidate for the Democratic nomination.

1. "What my campaign is about is a political revolution - millions of people standing up and saying, enough is enough. Our government belongs to all of us, and not just the hand full of billionaires."

2. "The problems we face, did not come down from the heavens. They are made, they are made by bad human decisions, and good human decisions can change them."

3. "An America where every person, no matter their race, their disability or their sexual orientation realizes the full promise of equality that is our birthright as Americans."

4. "I am going to do my best to try to create a country in which children are not living in poverty, in which kids can go to college, in which old people have health care. Will I succeed? I can't guarantee you that, but I can tell you that from a human point of view it is better to show up than to give up"

5. "Student debt is crushing the lives of millions of Americans. How does it happen that we can get a home mortgage or purchase a car with interest rates half of that being paid for student loans? We must make higher education affordable for all. We must substantially lower interest rates on student loans. This must be a national priority."

6. "Nobody who works 40 hours a week should be living in poverty.

7. "It is time to tax and regulate marijuana like alcohol. It is time to end the arrests of so many people and the destruction of so many lives for possessing marijuana."

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
