We all have a little bit of interior designer in us. Everyone has their own way of decorating by putting colors and furniture together to create a cozy, welcoming space. According to forbes.com, New York city is ranked the fourth most stylish city in the world. With stylish people come stylish homes. Here are some of my favorite apartments in NYC.
This is Sasha Bikoff's apartment located on the Upper West Side of Manhattan. The peach colored walls match the gold details on the furniture, giving the room elegance. The black and white door contrasts with the other colors in the room creating an amazing and loud entrance. The different patterns on the chairs and couch give the room femininity, along with a creative French design.
This is Danielle Bernstein's apartment located in the West Village, Manhattan. One of the reasons I absolutely love this space is because of how effortlessly it is put together. Although the walls are ivory, the green patterned wallpaper brings character to the room. The sofas match the wall, giving the room a modern/chic look.
Grace Coddington, former model and creative designer for American Vogue Magazine, definitely shows her style though her apartment located in Chelsea, Manhattan. I mean, what's not to love about this kitchen? Coddington has a lovely cat collection on the shelves which match the wooden cabinets and counter. The dishes to the left of the photo add contrast with the dark wooden look. And, how can you miss the Louis Vuitton throw blanket on the chair? Even the browns on the blanket match the wooden, rustic look the kitchen radiates. An absolute favorite!
I don't know about you but I am completely taken back (in a good way of course) by how bold these colors are. The mixture of black, white, red, and blue come together in front of our eyes. The plants add additional colors as well as an earthy touch. I also love the outlines on the door - almost creating a 3D illusion. The pattern on the floor has the same effect.
Minimalism is the things nowadays; more is less. This gorgeous loft located in Williamsburg, Brooklyn certainly demonstrates the ideal modern and simplistic chic look. The white walls along with the white frames and table make the room bright. The rug on the floor creates a beautiful contrast with the black floor as well. I love the wooden chair and the cushion on the white bench which adds a soft color. Everything about this setting is cozy, yet so simple.
