Hello. So as you may or may not know, Dad's day is coming up in a year. Throughout the years as a daughter, I have picked up a few tricks of the trade. When it comes to fathers, proceed with caution, sometimes they can be grumpy, and sometimes they can be not-grumpy. It all depends on what kind of person they are. Remember: dads are people too. Here are some things to say to dads across the world.
1. Hi.
This is a nice formality.
2. Politics, aye?
Dads love talking politics.
3. Can you read?
The question you've been waiting to ask.
4. Four score and seven years ago...
Fathers will always join in when there's a Gettysburg address. Unless they hate lincoln. Then maybe not.
5. Airport lines, they suck.
Dads across the world will agree.
Have a great day with your pops, people. Or don't. Entirely up to you and your respective families.
Please don't forget that this article applies to father figures as well as biological or adopted fathers. Father is a weird word when you write it too many times. As I am doing now. Father father father.
