As a female in college, I can attest to the fact that we are always looking at other girl's outfits for inspiration, and to see the new trends at football games, events, or pictures on insta. Although, most of the time, I love the 'fits, there are definitely some pieces or combinations I am tired of seeing absolutely everywhere.
1. Flatform Sandals
I remember loving these so much when they were first popular, but I swear every girl in college has a pair of these. Let's switch it up with some new pumps.
2. Tube Tops

Nothing wrong with tube tops… They are just everywhere around campus on a Friday night. I have definitely seen tube top type shirts with tiny spaghetti straps and I really like that as a way to switch it up.
3. Stars On Everything
Still like this one but I do think it needs a break. Even stars burn out eventually.
4. Thick Hoop Earrings

The first time I saw these was on Becca during Arie's season of the Bachelor, and I was obsessed! I have a pair of these and will not be getting rid of them, but I think they need some time off so that they can become a statement piece again rather than just the typical hoop.
5. Sherpas
Not saying that this actually needs to be rid of your closet because they are comfy, but can we all agree that when we wear one of these to class, you are easily matching 10 other girls?
6. Big Letter Necklaces
I LOVE these necklaces, especially when they first came out. (I am pretty sure Anthropologie was the first to have them.) But now, you could spell a whole word with girls lining up in pictures using the letters around their necks. Definitely bring it back in a few years though because this is cute.
7. Flare Jeans
Very retro, but now they are everywhere. Can we go back to skinny jeans and mom jeans?
In all seriousness, wear whatever makes you happy. I KNOW you will be killin' it. Can we just cycle through to the next trend…?
