Looking back at what we wore 10 years ago is cringeworthy, so why are we so excited about these styles coming back that were popular 20-30 years ago? Whether we want to admit it or not, the fashion trends making their appearances back in to our lives are giving our looks the edge that they needed. Although we are waiting on the shoulder pads and platform heels to make their way back, here are nine trends coming back that we are actually excited about.

1. Denim Jackets

If you're in need of a new fall jacket, you're in luck because the denim jackets are back. It will give any outfit an edgy feel and it looks great over leggings or a t-shirt dress. If you really want to throw it back, you might even want to throw one on over a pair of jeans to really get the denim look.

2. Rompers

This magical ensemble give the look of a dress but the comfort of wearing pants. They were first used by children and referred to as "onesies". Rompers first were made popular in fashion as early as the 1920's. Nearly a century later they are back and more popular than ever.

3. Crop Top

With the recent popularity of crop tops, it is hard to believe that they were ever "out of fashion". Crop tops were popular in the 1940's when they would be worn at outdoor parties and typically were short sleeved and had a collar. Nowadays it is nearly impossible to find a shirt that is long enough to cover

an entire midriff due to this trend.4. Fanny Packs

Despite previous belief, these handy things aren't just for your weird uncle who carries trail mix wherever he goes. Fanny packs are coming back in fashion with their trendy patterns. The fanny pack is an easily accessible storage unit that is easier to carry around than a purse.

5. Braless

Say "goodbye" to the basic red lipstick! Make up companies are making it even harder to find your perfect shade with these bright lipstick trends. From hot pink to blood orange to periwinkle purple, the trend of these colorful lips can add some real pep to your look.

7. Topknot Bun

For a hairstyle first made popular in the 1300's by men, the topknot is sure making its comeback. The topknot is an easy, versatile do that can be worn to a gala or after the gym. It is made easy for all hair types and lengths so anyone can wear one.

8. High Waisted Pants

The high waist look is a look to minimize the waistline and accentuate the curves. During the women's rights movement around the 1940's, it was obscene for women to be wearing pants. As pants became more acceptable for women to wear, the high waisted look became a popular cut for women. The look survived through the 1980's but slowly died out by the 1990's until their major recent comeback.

9. Double Braid

Hair braiding can go all the way back in history to the 1300's where they were worn as signs of wealth, age, etc. Although hair braiding has always been a popular and easy hairstyle, the double braid recently made its comeback as a versatile and convenient look.

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!
