Is Fashion Really That Important?

Fashion plays a big role in your daily life... I don't think so

Everywhere you go, there are hundreds of clothing lines like H&M, Mango, Calvin Klein, American Eagles, Gap,... and to promote their new clothing lines each seasons, there are models who are popular on the internet wearing those new clothes to spread out the words how fashionable it is to wear outside, showing off your curves or guns and how up to date you are. For me, I don’t really give a damn.

For years, I have been comfortable wearing hoodies around the house, when I go shopping, meeting up with friends, school, housework, heavy duty work,... you name it, I’ve done everything while wearing hoodies. They are comfortable to wear, they have the necessary pockets for me to put my necessary things only. I wear jeans with them time to time to, I found it simple yet versatile. But those days were back in highschool, I’m a college student now so my fashion changed, not drastically enough to cause attention but enough for me to notice myself.

Instead of wearing hoodies all the time, I started to wear long sleeves shirt, but I do roll the sleeves up to show off my tattoos. Many people say that I have no taste in clothes, a very backward person. I don’t care what they have to say about me, I wear clothes for one reason only, to hide my private place so I wouldn’t embarrass myself in the public, but also, the clothes I have comfort me, they are easy to wear, easy to wash, and easy to love. They are the part of my life that I chose to participate in.

So in the end, wear what you want, as long as it feels right for you, then you have found the real you. Don’t let anyone judge your judgement, follow your instinct and be who you are. Your true nature.

Everyone who is in college right now, or has ever been, knows the struggle of pulling in the strings at the last second. It seems impossible, and you have to do a LOT of things in order to assure your future for the next semester.

April Ludgate, historically, is a very annoyed person, and she doesn't hide it. Of all the times that I binged and re-binged "Parks and Rec," her attitude relates more and more to me.

The world is not always sunshine and rainbows, and you do not have to be, either.

Ask friends of mine to name a quality about me, and one a lot them will point out the fact that I am almost always smiling. I like to laugh and smile -- not to quote Buddy the Elf in April, but smiling is my favorite! It is probably my favorite go-to expression. However, what a lot of people do not see is that I have my down days. I have days when smiling and laughing is a real struggle, or when I have so much on my plate that going out of my way to behappy takes more effort than I have stored in me. Be it a symptom of college and growing up or a facet of life, I cannot always be content.
