Marc also had his models come out with black bob haircuts; very bold and chic.
Lots of neutrals were seen on the runway this year and lucky for us girls, that means we don't have to put on as much makeup. It is true, less makeup is in style this season. The most you will need is mascara and contours for your cheek bones!
Nautical is back. The sailor look has come back with an edge. Striped tops with bold jewelry, bell bottom pants, high waists and sneakers. This casual look is sporty, casual and perfect for a hot day.
Relaxed denim trousers were a hit at Gucci on the runway. The denim paired with stacked booties and a romantic blouse is such an effortless look. It looks put together without being over the top.
Designer Joseph Altuzarra presented beautiful gowns that were flowy, and colorful with plunging necklines at New York Fashion Week. The dresses are effortlessly gorgeous and yet so simple looking.
Writer Nicole Phelps from Style.com describes his dresses as, “Cut in deep jewel shades of ruby and sapphire flecked with gold, their deep décolletages lined with fine white lace, they simultaneously channeled the 1970s and the 1890s without feeling encumbered by the past. They looked almost weightless."
Accessories director at Glamour Magazine, Gretchen Gunlocke Fenton, raved about a dress from Giambattista Valli's lower priced Giamba collection in Milan Fashion Week. It is a white lace dress with very intricate cuts and trim. It is absolutely gorgeous and exactly what comes to mind when you think feminine.
Modern tailoring is totally in this season. The tuxedo look on women is so flattering and so bold at the same time. Celine did a great presentation of her tailored looks in Paris.
