Fashion is such a cool and unique way to speak without even saying a word.
It's a universal language between literally any person, culture or group. Your personality shines brightly through your ripped jeans and white tee. Maybe you're inspired by James Dean, or perhaps you were just born in the wrong era.
From just a slight glance, people recognize a style that they like.
High school is a pivotal point in a person's life, during which they're trying to find themselves and learn who they are. Fashion is there to inspire and break boundaries.
It's easy to get lost in all of the cliquishness of high school. Alas, style is there to be a stable community you can always run to.
Some people in high school masque their insecurities with fashion. They use it to boost their self-confidence, and that is really what it is meant to do - freely express your personality.
Once you find your sense of style, your confidence will be boosted. And that's an amazing feeling.
Knowing YOUR unique style is recognizable by the way you carry yourself.
Inspiring people to feel that same exact way is heroic. Not all heroes wear capes… BUT if you do, make it look good!
I wrote a paper during my junior year of high school, and I mentioned that certain clothes automatically toss you into cliques you might not want to be in. And sadly, that is true.
If you like dark articles of clothing, do not let someone label you as "goth." Or if you like Nike but you aren't athletic, do not be labeled as "athletic." Clothes are meant to be interpreted as whatever you want, but being mislabeled because of what you wear is not cool. (By no means, how women dress does not mean yes!!!)
Being confined to one group of friends gets boring anyway. Be friends with everyone. You will find yourself growing and learning from these people in high school. Always grow and learn from people.
Never limit yourself to one mentality or to one style. Switch it up! Keep 'em guessing!
Fashion is supposed to bring people together, not separate them. This includes any event for any age.
Embrace the uniqueness of people, and let people be happy.
