Dear "Star vs. the Forces of Evil,"
It's been over a month since you had your half-hour "series finale," and I can't believe I haven't written anything about it until now. Honestly, I'm fine with there being no more seasons – well, considering the fact that you're a Disney show, meaning that you have to stop at four seasons no matter what (even though the old rule was to stop at 65 episodes before it was broken so many times by other shows, including "Kim Possible," and was eventually – thankfully – abolished).
However, I am not giving up on the very real possibility of there being a TV movie! I mean, come on: "Cleaved" could've easily been an hour-long special to wrap everything up, yet while some things came full circle, which I will not spoil here, a lot went unaddressed or open-ended. While I'm fine with things being left unanswered, leaving the fans alone with their imagination as to what might happen for the characters, it isn't really the case here. Plus, a lot of your fans feel the same way I do.
Why else would there be a petition for a fifth season or a TV movie-special?!
The petition, which had recently gotten over 100K signatures, the link for it is right here: https://www.change.org/p/the-walt-disney-company-please-give-fans-a-star-vs-the-forces-of-evil-season-5-or-a-movie-special-in-future?recruiter=960279884&utm_source=share_petition&utm_medium=twitter&utm_campaign=share_petition&utm_term=tap_basic_share&recruited_by_id=349d9ac0-75c2-11e9-a0d7-9fdc5c10a40f
It had gotten so much traction on Twitter that not only Adam McArthur, the voice actor of Marco Diaz, retweeted it, but also Daron Nefcy, the creator of the show, put a like for it! So, that has to mean something, right? But then again, it could be the fan-craze getting to my senses…
Anyway, regardless of any hope for any continuation of some kind (knock on wood), I'm still happy that Star and Marco finally got together (and before the finale, no less) and stayed together by the end of the finale, fulfilling all of the Starco fans' wishes, including mine! I'm just so grateful for getting into a show like this one, a show that I can quote from constantly, that I can watch videos about on YouTube (AMVs and theory vids alike), and most of all, that I can find myself relating to from time to time, that I can escape to from a less magical life, if for a while.
It's rare to find this much comfort in a show like you, "Star vs." In fact, in a "kid's show" period! It might take a while to find my next "cartoon obsession," though I have to be careful that it doesn't turn into an unhealthy one like it did with you sometimes, but I will never forget you as one of my all-time favorite cartoons. I love you, "Star vs." Stay weird and stay wild…
