A Farewell Letter to "The Bachelor" Season 19

To the show that was a priority for the past 10 weeks,

Thank you for being a part of my TV schedule on Monday nights when I couldn't count on anyone else, or for those Tuesday afternoon catch-ups when my schedule was too jam-packed for you. You were always available less than 24-hours after you premiered on live television, which was more than perfect.

You never failed to make me laugh, whether it was from the bloopers at the end of each episode or Ashley S.

Oh Ashley S. Even though you took paintball way too seriously, crawled on the ground after a cat, AND crashed Chris's one-on-one interview (all on one date), you still made me chuckle (P.S. please please please be on "Bachelor In Paradise").

Although you make my following-to-follower ratio on Instagram and Twitter actually embarrassing, I find joy in seeing the cast's tweets during the show and their pictures from "real life," if you must. But you're not fake. I know you aren't. Some people just aren't believers you know?

But, my favorite part of this season was when you brought Chris Soules into our households, because we don't meet farmers every day. Especially hot farmers from Arlington, Iowa. You gave me something good to look at each week, and let's be honest I saw the pictures of him every day on your Facebook page.

So a huge shout out to you, season 19, for being the only good thing to happen to Mondays and giving us single ladies a little sense of hope for our future.

Sincerely,

Your Biggest Fan/Future Contestant/Lover Of All Things Chris B. Harrison

"Friends" maybe didn’t have everything right or realistic all the time, but they did have enough episodes to create countless reaction GIFs and enough awesomeness to create, well, the legacy they did. Something else that is timeless, a little rough, but memorable? Living away from the comforts of home. Whether you have an apartment, a dorm, your first house, or some sort of residence that is not the house you grew up in, I’m sure you can relate to most of these!

There is nothing quite like family.

Family is kinda like that one ex that you always find yourself running back to (except without all the regret and the angsty breakup texts that come along with it).

Bob's Burgers
Adult Swim

Bob's Burgers is arguably one of the best and most well-written shows on tv today. That, and it's just plain hilarious. From Louise's crazy antics to Tina's deadpan self-confidence, whether they are planning ways to take over school or craft better burgers, the Belchers know how to have fun. They may not be anywhere close to organized or put together, but they do offer up some wise words once and awhile.

We're in college, none of us actually have anything together. In fact, not having anything together is one of our biggest stressors. However, there's a few little things that we do ever so often that actually make us feel like we have our lives together.

1. Making yourself dinner

And no this does not include ramen or Annie's Mac & Cheese. Making a decent meal for yourself is one of the most adult things you can do living on campus. And the food is much better than it would be at the dining hall.

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.
