I went to Penn State for 3.5 years, so you'd think I'd understand football right? WRONG. I was too short to actually see what was happening during games, so I just cheered when everyone else cheered, and I booed when everyone else booed.
I decided this year that I wanted to learn more about football, so I joined my friend's fantasy football league. It's just one real week into the season and as a newbie, I've had a lot of thoughts running through my head. What better way to express all of those thoughts to you all, than by letting Leslie Knope explain them?
1. When the draft starts and you have no idea what the hell is going on
2. You're having trouble keeping up, why do you only have 1.5 minutes each time it's your turn to draft??
3. You've been drafting for over two hours now, and you've lost your patience
4. After the first game of the season, you realize you should have never signed up for the league in the first place
5. You try to pump yourself up to gain some confidence
6. After your team does well, you already think you're a pro...
7. ...And then someone tells you that what you said makes no sense at all
8. You start to get competitive even though you still really don't understand what's going on
9. You start talking trash...
10. ...But immediately regret it because your team's about to lose
11. You're ready to throw in the towel and give up...
12. But after all the sweat and tears, you realize you've won your matchup this week, and it was all worth it
13. Sadly however, you realize you have 17 more weeks of this
With the first week over, and many more to come, Good luck to everyone as they embark upon a new season of Fantasy Football! And to all you die-hard fans out there, give me some advice won't ya??
