I Don't Fangirl, But I'm Fangirling Over Thomas Rhett

Why it is completley understandable.

It all started on the 14th of October –– no, I'm not talking about the "Unforgettable" time Thomas Rhett saw his now wife, Lauren, at a party. I'm referring to the first time I saw Thomas Rhett in concert, which just happened to be the 14th of October while he was on his Life Changes tour. It was then that my love for all things TR began to blossom.

I have never been a girl to obsess over any celebrity. In fact, I never understood why some people "fangirled" over certain musicians and actors, and I honestly thought it to be kind of ridiculous- then the rise of TR's popularity began, and I realized why it is completely acceptable to fangirl over Thomas Rhett.

1. His pure talent

Some musicians' sound completely different over radio than in concert, but let me be the first to tell you, Thomas Rhett is not one of these artists.

2. His relatable songs

Whether your a teenage boy listening to "Sixteen" or a married couple listening to "Life Changes," everyone has at least one song they can easily relate to.

3. The story of him and Lauren

If you don't know what I'm talking about, listen to "Marry Me," or even better, watch the music video. Be prepared though –– you may shed a tear.

4. His love for his family

It is so easy to see how much TR genuinely loves his family. P.S: if you don't follow him and Lauren on Instagram I highly suggest it for the cutest pictures of their two daughters.

5. How he handles his fame

It seems like recently Thomas Rhett's popularity has skyrocketed, but he still remains humble even in the midst of it.

So while it may seem like every 15 to 25-year-old girl may be slightly obsessed with Thomas Rhett, his family, and his music- be assured it is somewhat justified. And if you haven't listened to him before, do it! But just a warning- his music is addictive and if you're like me, before you know it you'll be attending three more of his concerts. No shame.

7 Ways to Make Your Language More Transgender and Nonbinary Inclusive

With more people becoming aware of transgender and non-binary people, there have been a lot of questions circulating online and elsewhere about how to be more inclusive. Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. If the wrong language is used, the place is unsafe and shows a lack of education on trans and non-binary issues. With the right language and education, there can be more safe spaces for trans and non-binary people to exist without feeling the need to hide their identities or feel threatened for merely existing.

Cambio

Singing is something I do all day, every day. It doesn't matter where I am or who's around. If I feel like singing, I'm going to. It's probably annoying sometimes, but I don't care -- I love to sing! If I'm not singing, I'm probably humming, sometimes without even realizing it. So as someone who loves to sing, these are some of the feelings and thoughts I have probably almost every day.
