To The Family Members Who Inpsire Me To Be Great, Thank You

People come and go as you go on through life, but the ones who stay by your side every step of the way are the ones who are most important. Personally, I have quite a few people who inspire me and who have stuck by my side no matter what road in life I am on.

My grandfather. Personally, I like to think I'm his favorite, but all jokes aside, he's truly there for me. He isn't one to talk much or get emotional or talk about his feelings, but he's always there. He listens. He doesn't hover, and though he isn't one to do the talking, he says the right things when you need them. He's been my right-hand man since the day I was born, and he'll always be my go-to guy.

My grandmother. She is my strength. She gives me the strength I need even when she's at her lowest and weakest points. She is currently battling breast cancer, and even on her most painful and tired days, she puts in the effort to make sure I'm okay. She fights like hell and there's not one person I know that is stronger than her.

My mom. She gives me clarity. She keeps me on the right track and where I should be at life. When I don't know what direction to go, she shows me the way. She teaches me the right ways and makes sure I steer clear of the wrong ways. She gives me the knowledge I need, even when I don't know I need it.

My dad. He lights up the world. He's a genuinely happy person and makes an effort to speak to everyone he sees. He's joyful and proud. He lights up my life.

These are just a few people who mean the absolute world to me. They inspire so much to be the best I can be and to do something great. I wouldn't be who I am, or where I am in life without them.

7 Ways to Make Your Language More Transgender and Nonbinary Inclusive

With more people becoming aware of transgender and non-binary people, there have been a lot of questions circulating online and elsewhere about how to be more inclusive. Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. If the wrong language is used, the place is unsafe and shows a lack of education on trans and non-binary issues. With the right language and education, there can be more safe spaces for trans and non-binary people to exist without feeling the need to hide their identities or feel threatened for merely existing.

Cambio

Singing is something I do all day, every day. It doesn't matter where I am or who's around. If I feel like singing, I'm going to. It's probably annoying sometimes, but I don't care -- I love to sing! If I'm not singing, I'm probably humming, sometimes without even realizing it. So as someone who loves to sing, these are some of the feelings and thoughts I have probably almost every day.
