To The Family That Isn't Blood

Family isn't always the ones you're born with.

To the family that isn't blood, you have been there for me every step of the way. I've been trying to think of a way to put everything you mean to me into words, and honestly it's been one of the hardest things that I've ever done. To say that you love me more than I love myself, would be a vast understatement. You've shown me more and more how a family is supposed to love one another, even though we've never been blood. You've been there when I needed you, and even when I didn't know I needed you. You've stepped up in ways that I I could only dream of, and that's more than I can ever ask for.

You are much more diverse than I would have ever originally thought, and that's because I've met different members of the family at different phases of life. Some of us just started off as friends and moved up from there, but I've known some of you longer than some of my blood family, You've been there during some of my biggest milestones, and I'm so thankful for that. I've met some of you during middle school, and then high school. Some much earlier than we ever went to school.

Especially during these times of the holidays it has become even more evident that you are one of the most caring forces in my life. There isn't another way that I could ever think to spend my holiday that with you guys. So from the bottom of my heart, thank you for everything that you've done, are doing, and will do in the future. You're all amazing.

Toilet Troubles

"So, usually I would never go on a Tinder date but when you are out with girlfriends and a hot Bosnian guy says he wants to hang with you and his friends, you oblige. We head to their apartment and when I realized I may pee my pants if I don't find a bathroom soon. I ask for the bathroom and a friend of my tinder date shows me to it and said in all seriousness that I was not allowed to flush the toilet under ANY circumstances. Having a few drinks--or five--I relieved myself to, nevertheless, flush the toilet. Within seconds, his bathroom was flooded and towels were laid out everywhere to catch the toilet water. To say the least, we were not invited back"
