Whenever my family goes to the beach or on another vacation, it seems we decide to go as far away as possible, meaning a never ending road trip. While the end result, the beach, is amazing, the hours in the car are often the most memorable for those of us with siblings.
When your mother says you're leaving at 5 a.m.
But, really, that doesn't mean we will be out the door before 7 a.m. -- 6 a.m., if we get really lucky.
When your sister asks if you want to sit in the back seat.
When your sisters fight over the movie.
When your sister makes you stop to go to the bathroom.
When you need to go to the bathroom.
When your parents decide being trapped in a car is a great time for conversations about the future.
When your mom thinks the "license plate game" is fun.
When there's traffic because you didn't leave early enough.
When you get hungry.
When your sisters start to pick fights.
When you finally reach your destination.
