Dear Peeps,
While this might be a bit unusual, I just want to write a short thank you letter to you. Ever since I can remember, my family has had "Peep fights" at our Easter festivities. No matter if the whole family is there or if only a few could gather, it has always been a tradition of ours.
Some years, the fights consisted of hitting them with brooms out in the backyard to the opposing side. Other years consisted of the annual fight just randomly breaking out during dinner time. The best times are when no one knows who started it to begin with, but everyone just joins in on throwing, and also ducking, the flying Peeps.
Everyone, whether they be the youngest or the oldest person in the family, participates each year, and that makes it even better. I mean, who else's family besides ours is okay with people having Peeps chucked at them? Outsiders probably think we are crazy, but that's okay because we know we aren't!
So, thank you Peeps for all the memories I have had at Easter each year. I wouldn't laugh as much as I do or get an exercise in while eating lots of food if you weren't there each year for the annual Killilea peep fight.
Love,
The Peep fight instigator of 2016
