Family keeps you grounded. Whenever I am feeling lost, upset, lonely, broken, or so many other emotions, they are here to ground me and fill me with love

Too many times I get caught up in my busy life and forget what truly matters. It takes one visit home or one phone call to my sister to remind me what it is I am working towards.

Sometimes I forget why I work full work weeks and go to school full time. Sometimes I start to wonder why I work multiple internships. Life can get difficult whenever you have a full schedule and feel like half of it has nothing to show. But my family is always there to remind me what I’m working towards.

They are the ones who keep me grounded and keep me pushing towards my goals. Everyone needs that person who tells them “you can do this” or “this is why you ARE doing this”.

Because let’s be honest, life is tough. Life knows how to break you and then shake you once you’re already down. There is no denying that without a strong support system, of some sort, in some way, we would not survive.

A simple drive back to my hometown and pulling through my driveway brings me so much relief. Knowing my family awaits me inside those small town lines gives me hope. Knowing they are there to support me, ask about my endeavors, and guide me through this crazy thing called life is what keeps me sane.

Without my family, I would be completely and utterly lost. They know me better than anyone else in this world. Sometimes I feel like they know me, better than I know me. They help me sort out my emotions and deal with them properly.

Without my support system, without my Family, I would not survive this world. I would not survive my world. I am forever loving and forever grateful for their constant love and support to get me through this life.

Everyone who is in college right now, or has ever been, knows the struggle of pulling in the strings at the last second. It seems impossible, and you have to do a LOT of things in order to assure your future for the next semester.

April Ludgate, historically, is a very annoyed person, and she doesn't hide it. Of all the times that I binged and re-binged "Parks and Rec," her attitude relates more and more to me.

To The Cheerful Person On Their Rainy Days, You Are Valid

The world is not always sunshine and rainbows, and you do not have to be, either.

Ask friends of mine to name a quality about me, and one a lot them will point out the fact that I am almost always smiling. I like to laugh and smile -- not to quote Buddy the Elf in April, but smiling is my favorite! It is probably my favorite go-to expression. However, what a lot of people do not see is that I have my down days. I have days when smiling and laughing is a real struggle, or when I have so much on my plate that going out of my way to behappy takes more effort than I have stored in me. Be it a symptom of college and growing up or a facet of life, I cannot always be content.
