We all know- the family Christmas and dinner is always the most interesting event of the year. Here are the 11 pieces of every Christmas get-together that I think we can all agree on, as told by the film, "Christmas Vacation".

1. When The Week Of The Family Christmas Hits

Take it easy, man.

2. Unexpected Company

There's always that part of your family that you can't piece together. How am I related to these people? You still love them though, just not that much.

3. Gift Opening

The thrill of low-key going over to the tree and shaking the boxes to see what your gift might be. But then the box moves. And you slowly back away.

4. The Look You Give Your Parents

The uncle that always seems to bring up that one topic that will make you cringe. You look for a way out.

5. When Your Parents Tell You To Tell The Family A Story

No thanks.

6. The Food Is Served

Is the dip supposed to taste like this?

7. When You Get A Gift You Have To Act Appreciative For

I think there's a receipt for that, right?

8. When Your Parents Ask Only You To Clean Up

I think I'll pass.

9. When The Neighbors See (or Smell) Your Family Situation

Don't clean out your "black water tank" in public, please. (Or ever)

10. The Feeling You Get After You've Eaten Too Much Food

You gotta know when to stop.

11. The Last Person Leaves From The Family Christmas

You have survived the occasion and hope that this event is at someone else's house next year!

Everyone who is in college right now, or has ever been, knows the struggle of pulling in the strings at the last second. It seems impossible, and you have to do a LOT of things in order to assure your future for the next semester.

April Ludgate, historically, is a very annoyed person, and she doesn't hide it. Of all the times that I binged and re-binged "Parks and Rec," her attitude relates more and more to me.

To The Cheerful Person On Their Rainy Days, You Are Valid

The world is not always sunshine and rainbows, and you do not have to be, either.

Ask friends of mine to name a quality about me, and one a lot them will point out the fact that I am almost always smiling. I like to laugh and smile -- not to quote Buddy the Elf in April, but smiling is my favorite! It is probably my favorite go-to expression. However, what a lot of people do not see is that I have my down days. I have days when smiling and laughing is a real struggle, or when I have so much on my plate that going out of my way to behappy takes more effort than I have stored in me. Be it a symptom of college and growing up or a facet of life, I cannot always be content.
