Family is there for you through the thick and thin. If you are anything like me I wouldn't be where I am without them. I am so thankful for all of them and can gladly call them my family and best friends.

No one gets you quite like your family

Only the people you have grown up with and have lived with really understand you. Once you have lived with someone they know all about you. All of your quirks and things you don't even realize you do they see them and love you for it.

They know exactly what you need

Sometimes you might not even know what you need but there's a good chance your family knows.

They're not afraid to hurt your feelings

Typically your family doesn't use a filter around you. While it might be a little blunt it's what you need to hear. Your friends might be afraid to hurt your feelings, but your family can be real with you and know you'll still love them.

They've been there since the beginning

From vacation to everyday life they are always there.

This one is quite obvious but really they have been there for you since the beginning. Your family has watched you mature and grow into where you are today and they will continue to be there for you.

They are always looking out for your best interest

They know what is best for you and are going to do whatever they need to do to help you reach your full potential.

They know what is good for you

Sometimes we don't know what is good or bad for us but our families can see before we can. Odds are your mom can pick out your fake friends before you can. If your family doesn't like a significant other or friend there's probably a good reason why.

Odds are they're a lot like you

They help you reach your goals and motivate you.

Because families spend so much time together your interest are probably similar. It might be your favorite sport or favorite spot to shop or just about anything in between, there's a good chance your family members agree.

They know if there is something wrong

It's hard to hide your emotions from your family. You spend so much time together that they can tell when something is off or if there is something you don't want to share.

They don't judge you

Rather than passing judgment, your family tries to help you with your issues. Judging a family member is like judging yourself, it just doesn't make sense.

They love you unconditionally

The share similar interest and help you get to where you want to be.

Your family is a part of you and they love you no matter what. No strings attached they are always there for you and you will always be there for them.

Your family members are always looking for you. Believe it or not they usually know what is best for you before you do. So remember to thank them for what they do for you and look out for them too!

Friendship. It's defined as the state of being attached to another person by feelings of affection or personal regard, but what really is friendship? Is it that occasional hallway talk with that one person who always manages to cheer you up? Is it that relationship you have with someone where they can be gone for a long period of time, but when they come back, it's like they never left? Is it spending every waking hour with someone, and knowing every detail about their life? Is it the relationship that's filled with fighting, but filled with even more resolution? I've learned that it's all of these things, and every friendship is different. It's a beautifully dysfunctional mess that should always be cherished and never be taken for granted.

I've known you your entire life. More than likely I held you in the first three days of it and at least one of us cried. I'm not married, I don't have children, heck, I just started my adult life, but I do want to give you what little advice I have. My dears, these are the things I want you to know.
