As a millennial, I’ve grown up during a time in which technology has rapidly advanced, consequently making the everyday lives of millions, including myself, much simpler. However, that doesn't make myself or any millennial as impatient and overprivileged as our generation is perceived to be. It has come to my attention that over time, the word ‘millennial’ and what it's defined as is constantly scrutinized. We as millennials are painted as a group of people who are lazy narcissists, caring only for things like taking selfies and the materialistic world. However, the stereotype of our generation is falsified by the constant assumption that with so much technology at our fingertips, everything is simply handed to us. But, as millennials, we are:
-Advocates for environmental issues
-Technology savvy
-The largest and most diverse generation in the history of the U.S.
-Those who value community, family, and relationships
-People that work creatively
-Compassionate to all social groups
-Experts in collaborating
-People that care about advancing in school and the work place
-The most educated generation yet
-Innovated entrepreneurs
