With Fall emerging, we are all starting to look toward fashion icons and magazines for the next big trends. However, not every trend transitions well from runway to everyday. Here's a list of the do's and dont's for Fall 2016 trends and where to find them for less:

DO's:

1. T-shirt with Layered Spaghetti Strap

Leave it to Kendall Jenner to bring back an old trend in an even trendier way. The 'It Girl' showed the new and improved tank/tee duo, showcasing a silky spaghetti dress over a plain white T. Since photographed, other Jenner's and Kardashian's have picked up the trend. This one is basically effortless and is great for those messy bun/ get ready in 5 minute days.

2. Sweats and Sports Jackets

Rita Ora, we love you! Sweats, leggings and fashion forward pullovers are making a fashion statement this fall. Another effortless style that you already have in your closet. Who knew your 8-am outfit was in season?

3. Leather/Rope Choker

The oh-so-fabulous Hadid sisters are always rockin' the latest styles. Bella's rope choker, and Gigi's bandana scarf are both cute and affordable! Simple accessories that add to any simple tank or tee, or in this case plunging neckline bodysuit and leather jackets.

(Shop the look at Urban Outfitters)

4. Off The Shoulder Shirts

The jealousy we have for this top (and location) in Vogue's latest image is unreal. An always fun and flattering choice, off the shoulder tops have proven to stay in style adding more colors and patterns to last through Fall.

5. Turtleneck's

"Guess who's back, back, back; back again, again, again" That's right! Turtlenecks are a total GO! this Fall. Mega babe Hailey Baldwin shows off a turtleneck crop-top in a recent instagram, showing how versatile and trendy our moms' "old favorite outfits to dress us in" can be.

DONT's:

1. Exposed Push-Up Bra with Jacket

This trend leaves little to the imagination and sets off the balance of the entire outfit. We love the black on black, Mariah, but the girls have to behave! For the daring, yet not over-the-top look, try a detailed bralette with a loose shirt or sheer shirt like angel Taylor Hill has done. This creates a darling look with detail without exposing too much!

(Shop the look ASOS)

2. Distressed Denim Tops

While denim-on-denim is having a moment in the spotlight, distressed denim should be saved for pants and skirts. Also, we're all very used to the comfy styles... not sure if we would like to wear jeans on our top half all day! Another option would be to find two subtle denims and try the denim-on-denim trend celebs like Rihanna are wearing. This creates a better flow and allows for more accessories!

(Shop the look at Old Navy)

3. Oversized Skirts

This look is easily thrown off with the extra long skirt. The super high high-waisted skirt distracts our attention away from the trendy jackets and shoes. Instead, find a simple mini skirt like Georgia May's with a iconic bomber jacket to be the ensemble focus. (+5 Bonus point for the jacket's buttons and logos, G. Extra stylish!)

(Shop the look at Forever 21)

4. Barely-There Bodycon

This trend has been made popular by curvy stars such as Kim K, yet we just don't think it is the most flattering for a long day or night out. Most outfits such as this require spanx or some type of body control product. Pairing this dress with a waist-tie or long cardigan could help the bodycon to be a slimming piece and a more relaxed look!

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.
