Falling Into Fall

Fall is finally in the air! Well this is West Texas, so who knows what the weather will be like next week. Anyway, it is September and that makes it officially time to start enjoying everything fall has to offer.

The season of fall is my favorite season. To me, every aspect is beautiful. The colors of all the leaves changing and falling delicately on the lawns and driveways, only to be raked up in a large pile on the front lawn, just moments later.

The colors of harvest mix so well together. The talk of farmers getting their crops ready for harvest only stirs my heart with love for the area I have grown up in. The sight of tractors in the field fill my heart with thankfulness.

The crisp morning air fills my lungs with joy and puts an extra touch of rosiness on everyone’s cheeks. I am able to wipe the summer dust off my riding boots and pull out all my cute sweaters. I mean a huge perk about fall weather is to cute clothes we get to wear! Am I right? Scarfs, headband warmers and matching gloves you name it, I have it pulled out and ready to go!

The smell of pumpkin everything is in the air. Pumpkin spice cake, pumpkin spice latte, pumpkin spice Scentsy, etc. Hot chocolate gets thrown into the mix, along with blankets and fires on a brisk evening.

With all this time of changing out Patriotic/summer decor to fall decor, I am reminded of my Savior’s talent in artwork. His ability to paint a West Texas fall sunset never ceases to amaze me. The colors are picked so precisely designed for a perfect painting.

In this season of Thanksgiving, I am thankful for many, many things; but one thing is for certain. I am thankful for my King. The King of all Kings. The King who has blessed me daily, through the sights of fall and His artistic ability. Remember that in this season of fall. Look for the little details that our Father has made for us. Find joy in His artwork.

Happy Fall y’all!

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.
