1. Pumpkin Picking

Getting to pick your own pumpkin amongst hundreds and bringing it home to carve is my favorite fall tradition.

2. Sweater Weather

And everything that comes with it: boots, boot socks, scarves, hats, gloves.

3. Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday because it;s spent eating great food with those I'm most thankful for.

4. Leaves Changing

Nothing makes you feel warmer than seeing the leaves change color right before your eyes.

5. Halloween

Candy and costumes galore.

6. Hot Chocolate

Salted caramel hot chocolate, mint hot chocolate, white hot chocolate, the options are endless.

7. Apple EVERYTHING

Apple picking. Apple pie. Candy apples. Apple scented candles. Apple cider. Apple EVERYTHING.

8. Hayrides

A day spent on a hayride is a day well spent.

9. Movies

Hocus Pocus, The Nightmare Before Christmas, Halloween, and so many more.

10. Corn Mazes


Whether it's a haunted corn maze or not, they're still a great fall activity.

Ah, yes, good old Hauppauge. We are that town in the dead center of Long Island that barely anyone knows how to pronounce unless they're from the town itself or live in a nearby area. Hauppauge is home to people of all kinds. We always have new families joining the community but honestly, the majority of the town is filled with people who never leave (high school alumni) and elders who have raised their kids here. Around the town, there are some just some landmarks and places that only the people of Hauppauge will ever understand the importance or even the annoyance of.
