Eight ideas to make the most of this season

As fall is quickly approaching, football games are happening, bonfires are being lit, and Halloween plans are being discussed. If you are one who normally dreads the cooler weather (I'm not sure who would), here is a list of activities that will get you pumped for the new season!

1. Go to a Football Game!

Whether it is on the TV screen, a fantasy league, or your local high school team, football is in full swing! Get ready for tailgates, break out your face paint, and get ready to cheer on your favorite teams!

2. Have/Attend a Bonfire

One of the best ways to warm up during cooler weather is by sitting near a fire. Have marshmallows ready and plenty of blankets and seats for your friends. Bonfires are one of the highlights of fall and should be enjoyed by all.

3. Have a Pumpkin Spice Latte

It may be fall's most basic flavor, but ask me if I care (I don't, by the way). This is the only season you are inundated with this liquid magic. The pumpkin and cinnamon combine with the taste of espresso. It's worth it. Trust me.

4. Visit Your Local Drive-In

This is your blast from the past. Travel back in time to the '50s as you watch movies from the comfort of your car or trunk. Enjoy the last few months as many drive-ins tend to close at the end of fall. Pack a picnic, blankets, and extra jackets and enjoy a chilly September night watching whatever the box-office has to offer.

5. Watch Your Favorite Halloween Movies

This is your only season to be fully creeped out as you decide if Halloween has any merit in its tales. Watch cult classics like The Rocky Horror Picture Show or newer series like Insidious. Word of advice: make sure you have a few friends with you!

6. Go for Long Drives With the Windows Down

Bonus points if your music is cranked up! Enjoy the gorgeous scenery as shades of lush greens are changing to oranges, reds, and browns. Take in the last lingering warmth before the full clutch of winter. Enjoy the fresh air before our windows are replaced with the heat on full blast.

7. Try New Recipes

Fall is infamous for having some of the best tasting desserts and drinks. Whether you are trying out a recommendation from a friend or a new pin from Pinterest, make something new. Bring it to family gatherings and try it out before debuting it at Thanksgiving and Christmas parties!

8. Try Something New!

Whether its reading a different type of book, seeing a different movie, or trying a new food/drink (Kombucha is a huge win), broaden your horizons. Fall and winter can seem like fairly long and drawn out months if you do not have a way of keeping yourself busy.

Fall can be an incredibly fun and beautiful season. Enjoy the company of friends and all the festivities that come with this time of the year!

18 Things I Want To Do Now That I'm 18

I'm technically an adult, so I'm legally required to live a little, right?

For the entirety of my high school career, I was always seen as the goody-two-shoes. I never got in trouble with a teacher, I kept stellar grades, and when I wasn't doing extracurricular activities, I was at home studying. Even when I did go out, it was usually with a bunch of fellow band geeks. The night would end before 11:00 PM and the only controversial activity would be a fight based on who unfairly won a round of Apples-to-Apples when someone else clearly had a better card (I promise I'm not still holding a grudge).

Now that I'm officially an adult, I want to pursue some new things. I want to experience life in a way that I never allowed myself to do prior to entering college. These are the years that I'm supposed to embark on a journey of self-discovery, so what better way to do that than to create a bucket list?

I've been super busy lately with school work, studying, etc. Besides the fact that I do nothing but AP chemistry and AP economics, I constantly think of stupid questions that are almost impossible to answer. So, maybe you could answer them for me, and if not then we can both wonder what the answers to these 15 questions could be.
