Spooky season is over, which means it's all about the holiday season! Although Christmas is my favorite holiday, I definitely share these relatable moments with the Grinch.

Hearing "We Only Have A Few Weeks Left Of Class, Time To Start Reviewing"

Giphy

Not having to learn new material for unit exams is one of the best things about the end of the semester. Only having to review old tests and quizzes is a blessing. Time for more Netflix and naps!

Catching Feelings For Someone When You Told Yourself All Semester To Leave The Boys Alone

Giphy

No matter how hard I've tried all semester to stay away from the boys, the last few weeks is usually when I catch feelings and will regret it as soon as I leave for winter break. In college, we always start to like someone at the most inconvenient times. Which is always. It is always inconvenient. No boys. No problems.

Getting Bored Faster Since It Gets Dark Early

Giphy

During the seasons other than winter, there's plenty of time to do activities outside since it won't get dark until a little later. Once the end of the semester hits, it's getting dark around 5:30 giving you more time to be bored instead of outside.

Looking At My Planning After Checking My Grades

Giphy

When we really believed we did as good as we thought all semester but you need a 500 out of 100 on the final to pass the class. Checking your planner and giving yourself little tips on how to organize your break downs.

Ending World Hunger, Starting With My Own

Giphy

Finding any excuse not to do some of the important things in your planner. Sometimes I like to write simple tasks in my planner just so I can cross them off and feel accomplished about doing something. Why not start with ending world hunger, but beginning by ending your own first.

Eating By Yourself Since Your Academics Took Over Your Social Life

Giphy

At this point, I have little to no social life because my academics have taken it over. Trying to find friends to eat dinner with is like pulling teeth.

Hating Yourself For Being So Lazy All Semester

Giphy

Hating yourself for your grades, how you didn't have enough fun this semester, and getting upset over anything and everything about yourself. 7 o'clock? Right on schedule.

Trying To Pick A Project Group From Your Class Roster

Giphy

Manly classes have group projects at the end of the semester and some you get to choose who you get to work with. But after hearing stories of how horrible these people are at being a team player, turning in work, or even showing up to meetings, you don't want to work with anyone besides yourself.

First Part of Getting Ready For The Christmas Party

Giphy

The first couple of outfits you try on are really cute and your friends hype you up especially to get you moving faster so the pregame can start. You're really feeling yourself in these cute outfits until....

After Looking At Yourself Too Long And End Up Hating Your Outfit

Giphy

You try on a bunch of outfits and liked the first few, but it just wasn't good enough to wear. After trying on outfit after outfit, you just decide you're not going out anymore because you're already irritated and the night hasn't even started yet.

Borrowing Your Friend's Ugly Sweater But It Doesn't Look As Good On Yourself As It Does On Her

Giphy

After your friends convince you to go out still and they let you borrow one of their ugly sweaters. However, their outfit doesn't look as good on you as it does on them. Usually I'll end up walking around the party uncomfortable and still irritated until the liquid courage kicks in.

Sitting Around Waiting For The Last Days To Fly By

Giphy

Nothing is more annoying than having finals spaced out and having to sit around for days doing nothing. You've already studied your butt off but what more is there to do? You end up just sitting around waiting for the days to roll on by so you can finally go home to relax.

Walking Out Of The Final Thinking You Totally Bombed It

Giphy

Reading the first question and thinking... WTF IS THIS?! Almost bursting into tears during the exam because you're thinking you're toast. But after walking out after, whether you failed or not, your nerves have calmed and you find your cool again.

FINALS ARE OVER AND WINTER BREAK MAY COMMENCE

Giphy

Spring semester schedule has been made. Finals are over. Your car is packed. And it is time to GO HOME! You survived the semester and get to go home to celebrate your time back at home. Alexa, play Christmas Wrapping by The Waitresses.

I know every college student has daily thoughts throughout their day. Whether you're walking on campus or attending class, we always have thoughts running a mile a minute through our heads. We may be wondering why we even showed up to class because we'd rather be sleeping, or when the professor announces that we have a test and you have an immediate panic attack.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate

"A Christmas Story" is the star on top of the tree.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate

One staple of the Christmas season is sitting around the television watching a Christmas movie with family and friends. But of the seemingly hundreds of movies, which one is the star on the tree? Some share stories of Santa to children ("Santa Claus Is Coming to Town"), others want to spread the Christmas joy to adults ("It's a Wonderful Life"), and a select few are made to get laughs ("Elf"). All good movies, but merely ornaments on the Christmas tree of the best movies. What tops the tree is a movie that bridges the gap between these three movies, and makes it a great watch for anyone who chooses to watch it. Enter the timeless Christmas classic, "A Christmas Story." Created in 1983, this movie holds the tradition of capturing both young and old eyes for 24 straight hours on its Christmas Day marathon. It gets the most coverage out of all holiday movies, but the sheer amount of times it's on television does not make it the greatest. Why is it,
then? A Christmas Story does not try to tell the tale of a Christmas miracle or use Christmas magic to move the story. What it does do though is tell the real story of Christmas. It is relatable and brings out the unmatched excitement of children on Christmas in everyone who watches. Every one becomes a child again when they watch "A Christmas Story."

It's the most wonderful time of the year! Christmas is one of my personal favorite holidays because of the Christmas traditions my family upholds generation after generation. After talking to a few of my friends at college, I realized that a lot of them don't really have "Christmas traditions" in their family, and I want to help change that. Here's a list of Christmas traditions that my family does, and anyone can incorporate into their family as well!

May the odds be ever in your favor.

Does anybody know how to study

It’s here; that time of year when college students turn into preschoolers again. We cry for our mothers, eat everything in sight, and whine when we don’t get our way. It’s finals, the dreaded time of the semester when we all realize we should have been paying attention in class instead of literally doing anything else but that. Everyone has to take them, and yes, unfortunately, they are inevitable. But just because they are here and inevitable does not mean they’re peaches and cream and full of rainbows. Surviving them is a must, and the following five phases are a reality for all majors from business to art, nursing to history.
