7 Fall Season Premieres I'm Excited For
TV

As fall approaches, many season premieres of TV shows will be coming out. Based on personal preference, there are a few shows that I'm super pumped to be able to watch new episodes of. Just a warning, this may contain some spoilers so proceed with caution before divulging.

1. Greys Anatomy

Grey's Anatomy is my all time favorite show, so it's safe to say I'm super excited for season 13. In the season 12 finale, the episode ends with Amelia Shepherd and Owen Hunt finally tying the knot, but there's a catch. The ending is actually a cliff hanger of a potential love triangle between Meredith Grey, Maggie Pierce, and Nathan Riggs. Nathan is interested in Meredith and vise versa, but Maggie believes that Nathan likes her. In season 13, it will be interesting to see the resolution to that conflict. Also, season 13 is going to be focusing on the originals: Meredith Grey, Alex Karev, Miranda Bailey, and Richard Webber. There are even rumors that beloved characters Cristina Yang and Izzie Stevens will be back. I loved both of them so much, especially Cristina. I'm really hoping those rumors become a reality.

2. Once Upon A Time

Once Upon A Time is my other favorite show besides Greys Anatomy. In the last few episodes of season 5, Regina Mills slowly falls apart after the death of Robin Hood and the evil begins to consume her again. The last couple minutes of the season finale show the evil queen emerging from a period of absence. Besides looking forward to seeing Regina battle her inner demons, I'm also looking forward to seeing if Rumple is successfully able to fix his never ending complications with Belle and how Hook and Emma go about their lives after the intense experience of being in the Underworld and Hook's temporary death.

3. Family Guy

Family Guy is one of those shows you can always count on to give you a good laugh. It's that reason precisely why I'm looking forward to seeing what's in store for season 15.

4. How To Get Away With Murder

How To Get Away With Murder captured my interest from the very beginning. The season 2 finale in particular left fans shocked. A lot of questions were left unanswered that fans, myself included, are dying to get answers to. For me, what I wonder about most is why Frank Delfino left town without any explanation.

5. The Voice

Every season of The Voice showcases unique and raw talent, but what I'm most excited for is seeing what the judge's panel brings to the table. Along with veterans Blake Shelton and Adam Levine are newcomers Miley Cyrus and Alicia Keys. They're both iconic performers and interesting additions to the judge's panel.

6. Dancing With The Stars

Dancing With The Stars is an all time classic that never gets old. I'm not entirely sure of the season 23 cast yet, but Olympic gymnast Simone Biles and Wizards of Waverly Place and The Fosters' Jake T. Austin are just a couple of the names rumored to be a part of it.

7. Agents of Shield

Last but not least, I'm excited for season 4 of Marvel's Agents of Shield. I'm a super Marvel geek, so I live and breathe anything Marvel. The season 3 finale was pretty intense overall and ending up damaging several characters to a degree. For example, Skye/Daisy Johnson ends up losing her way and Agent Phil Coulson hopes he can guide her back on the right path. Though in all fairness, she's been going on on a downward spiral since about halfway through season 2 when she found out that she was "inhuman".

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

For a moment your world is spinning. The phone alarm has just scared you awake and you’re flooded by daunting thoughts of the day ahead. You have three assignments due and little time to work on them because of your job. You’re running late because you’ve hit snooze one to many times after yesterday’s long hours. You dizzily reach for a hoodie, craving its comfort, and rush for a speedy exit, praying you will have time to pick up coffee. Does this sound familiar?

Finals week is upon us. It is a magical time of year during which college students everywhere flock to the library in attempt to learn a semester's worth of knowledge in only a week. For some students, it's their first time in the library all semester, maybe ever. Others have slaved away many nights under the fluorescent lights, and are slightly annoyed to find their study space being invaded by amateurs. While these newbies wander aimlessly around the first floor, hopelessly trying to find a table, the OGs of the library are already on the third floor long tables deep into their studies. Here is a few signs that you may live in the library, whether you'd like to admit it or not.
