There is a wide range of activities to do with your friends or your loved ones this fall. Whether you want to stay inside and relax or go outside and exercise, there are so many fun things to choose from.

One of the most popular fall dates is going to the cider mill. Some cider mills include more exciting activities than others, but it all depends on what you like. At Blake's Cider Mill in Armada, they offer doughnuts and cider, a haunted house, a corn maze, hayrides, an apple orchard where you can pick apples, and more. On the other side of things, Yates Cider Mill in Rochester Hills costs less money and is more relaxed, but only offers doughnuts and cider, apples to buy, a petting zoo, and some trails to walk on.

With Halloween around the corner, another fun activity that you could do is carve pumpkins. Whether you get one at a cider mill or a local grocery store, creating your own unique design to put on a pumpkin is a fun and very enjoyable activity to do with your friends. To spice up the fun, you could even have a pumpkin carving contest and have a parent or other friend judge whose pumpkin looks the best.

Another great activity unique to this time of year is going to haunted houses. Many people love Halloween and love to be scared and exhilarated, making this the perfect activity for them. However, people aren't just limited to traditional haunted houses to get their dose of fear these days. You can also go on a haunted hayride or explore a haunted corn maze. There are so many different places you can visit to see which one you find the best and the scariest.

Another idea is to try all of the big drink trends during the fall such as pumpkin spice lattes, cider, and other fall-themed drinks. For some people, these drinks are new, while for others, they are old favorites that they wait for every year. Either way, it is a great idea to go out to Starbucks, McDonald's, or another local drink spot with your friends to try these delicious fall beverages.

Along with this season's beverages, there are other foods that are popular in the fall as well. Baking can be a great activity to bring you and your family or friends together. Pumpkin pie, pumpkin bread, apple tarts, and more are also very yummy and fun to make and share. Food is an essential part of every season and fall is no exception.

Considering that fall is the spookiest season of the year, cuddling up and watching scary movies is a must. Depending on your budget and how you feel, you can either go to the theater or stay at home. You could go to see a new release such as IT: Chapter 2 and Anabelle Comes Home, or relax at home in bed and watch an old scary movie on Netflix. Both options will get your blood pumping and get you and your friends in the Halloween spirit.

There are also many ways to get outdoors and do a little exercising during the fall while having fun at the same time. The weather during this time of year varies from somewhat warm to chilly, so outside activities are still possible. You can go hiking on trails and explore nature at the cider mill or a local park. Another option is to go for a bike ride with your friends around the neighborhood.

Another creative suggestion for a fun fall activity is to walk around and collect the prettiest, new-fallen leaves. With the weather getting colder and the seasons changing, the outside world looks even more beautiful. You can also up the fun by raking up all of the leaves and jumping into a pile of them.

Sometimes finding things to do can be a hard task, but there are so many ideas at hand for whatever you are looking for. There are tons of fun activities to try this season and chances to make memories with the people that you love.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.
