Dear Fall,
Is there a reason you keep teasing us with your gorgeous weather? I am tired of having to change clothes by the afternoon because you decide to leave and let summer back in. All I want to do is be able to wear my jeans and sweaters without having to feel sweaty by the end of the day. Plus, my long thick hair would like the break from going up into ponytails and back down again. I would also like to have the amazing cold weather that is perfect for drinking hot tea and hot chocolate. You have so many things that you are perfect for. Football games, scenic car drives, and so much more. Why would you even want summer to come back? You have so much sparkle that summer can not even compete with. Summer is so hot and dry. Summer does not have beautiful colors. The only colors summer contains is green and blue from oceans. You, fall, have so many beautiful colors: green, brown, red, orange, and yellow. Your cold air is so refreshing after a hot summer season. Another thing that you have that summer does not, a clear view of the stars. Your cold air allows the human eye to see the beautiful patterns the stars create. Summer can not provide the same clarity as you can. Shoot, you even have the perfect weather to fall in love. It is just cold enough where people can snuggle and not get too hot within a few minutes. Romantic dates are easy. Just go outside and take in all of your beauty while having a picnic with a significant other. Summer is always said to be the time to fall in love, but really, it is not. Fall, you have more perfect ways to fall in love than summer does and do not ever forget that. The only thing that summer has over you is a whole bunch of songs. A lot of those songs, though, do not talk about how beautiful summer is because it isn't. You have many poems and photos that depict and describe your beauty. Why would you even give summer the chance to take all of the best things about you away again and again? So, if you could stop doing the limbo with summer, everyone would thank you.
Sincerely,
Me
(And a whole bunch of other annoyed people.)
