Why Fall is the Best Season

Fall is the best season hands down, no doubt about it, don't even try to argue with me on this, but if you must I guess I can lay down the reasons why it is indeed, the best season out of them all.

1. My Birthday

Lets be real here, birthdays are always the coolest holidays and it makes that time of the year about 500 times more enjoyable and to top it off this year will be my 21st so what could be better?

2. Halloween

Candy, scary movies, pranks, pumpkins and trick or treating, everything that makes my heart happy.

3. Thanksgiving

Food. Self Explanatory.

4. Changing of the Leaves

The colors are just so beautiful you cant help but stop and stare at them to take it all in.

5. The Brisk Air

It's no longer hot but it is also not yet to the point where you need to jackets and a scarf so its pretty great if you ask me.

6. Boots, lots and lots of boots

Tall boots, ankle boots, boots that slip on, boots that zip up to the knee, they are all ready to be worn and strut in.

7. Cute Pictures

I mean hello, the lighting is perfect, the perfect colorful background, the endless uses for leaves. Its a basic girls dream.

8. Starbucks

Don't even get me started on their PSL.

9. Almost Christmas

When its fall you automatically think "how many days until Christmas?".

10. Halloween Movies on TV

Halloween Town, Scary Godmother, Halloween 1,2,3...all of them.

11. It Has Two Names

What other season has two names? That's right, none. Autumn and Fall, the only season with two names.

12. Campfires

Its so nice just to walk outside and smell the fire burning and then sit down, feel its warmth, hear the cracking from the wood and just relax.

13. Pumpkin Everything

Pumpkin pie, pumpkin drinks, pumpkin pasties, pumpkins, the possibilities are endless and its amazing.

14. Decorations

The amount of decorations you can put out for this season are amazing. You get fall decorations, Halloween decorations, birthday decorations, thanksgiving decorations and maybe even the start of Christmas decorations!

15. Football

Baltimore Ravens and Concord University. That is all.

16. Hocus Pocus

Do I even need to explain the significance of this reason?

17. Big Cozy Sweaters

I love that I can wear it as a dress, with leggings, with jeans, with anything really.

18. Because Everything Is Just Better Overall

Do I even need to go any further with this?

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
