The First Love:
This refers to the first love that we have in our lives. This love usually occurs in high school or in early college. When you fall in love for the first time, you think that you're going to be with this person for the rest of your lives.
This love gives off a sense of innocence. You swoon. You think you're going to walk down the aisle with this person.
More often than not, this person that you're in a relationship with in high school is the one you experience many of your "firsts" with. Your first kiss, your first date, your first fight, etc.
You go to prom with this person. You spend every weekend with this person. This person is your world in high school. You think this first love is your only love. You think your parents are crazy for warning you about the heartbreak that they believe is destined to come.
But the truth is, this love was not meant to be anything more than just a "first love".
The Love That You Learn A Hard Lesson From:
This love is the one that teaches you the most about yourself and what you want in a partner. This love takes you on an emotional rollercoaster. You will love this person so much and your love will be incredibly passionate, and yet, you learn the hardest lesson from this love.
This love can be unhealthy for whatever reason. Maybe you argued a lot. Perhaps you two manipulated each other. Or maybe everything ran smoothly but you simply just weren't right for each other.
But, you try to make everything work anyways out of complete desperation.
There is a vicious cycle of drama and issues with this love until eventually you just have to break it off to save your own sanity.
The Surprising Love:
This love often comes out of nowhere. You find this love when you aren't looking for it. Maybe you two bump into each other at the train station or you come across each other in line at the coffee shop.
This one often comes as a shock to you, mostly because you aren't looking for anything.
This person brings out all of the great things in you. You learn so much from this person and they learn so much from you. This type of love is built on support and commitment. You will be with this person throughout both the good and bad in their lives.
But this love will mean the most to you. This love is THE love of your life.
