Happy fall! Many of you may or may not know that autumn has officially been around for one month already! Time really does fly! Although the temperature is occasionally still warm, and the leaves haven’t quite started changing colors yet, fall is in full swing. Autumn provides us with so many amazing opportunities to enjoy nature’s beauty and what better way to savor the elegance before the harsh winter blows its way than through a bucket list?
Bucket lists have been around forever, but thank you Pinterest for making them even more popular! There are approximately 89 days of autumn with endless opportunities for fall fun.
- Kick off the season right! Enjoy Starbucks’ newly re-designed pumpkin spice latte.
- Gather your close friends and have an eight-hour bonfire. It’s fun, I promise.
- Eat all the pumpkin delicacies that you can handle. You can work out in the spring. Fall is for pie, lattes and cookies. Oh my!
- Go on a hayride. You might be the oldest person there, but you’ll sure have a fun time!
- Pick pumpkins at a pumpkin patch and use them to decorate your dorm, apartment, or house.
- Carve pumpkins and leave them on other people’s doorsteps. Spread the fall cheer with your neighbors!
- Make homemade pumpkin pie. You’ll be a hit at Thanksgiving this year!
- Take a walk around campus or a local park. Enjoy nature’s beauty before it’s gone.
- Collect colorful leaves.
- Decorate your living space with fall-themed decor.
- Go to a football game. Whether you’re rooting on your college team or cheering for your favorite NFL player, football games are always fun!
- Paint a pumpkin or two.
- Light a scented candle. I recommend pumpkin spice, apple turnover or buttercream icing. Your apartment will smell absolutely amazing.
- Snuggle in an over-sized t-shirt and indulge in your favorite hot tea.
- Rake leaves into a pile.
- Jump into said pile and document the moment through photography. Cliche but, oh, so cute!
- Make a homemade Halloween costume.
- Hand out candy to trick-or-treaters.
- Host a Halloween party, complete with themed food, beverages and dessert.
- Attend a local fall festival.
- Spread apple butter on crackers and enjoy. Trust me. It’s amazing.
- Spend an afternoon at a farmer’s market. It’s almost harvest time, so fresh produce will soon be few and far between.
- Drink apple cider. Cold cider is good, but hot cider is even better.
- Pick apples at an orchard.
- Try to find your way out of a haunted corn maze.
- Bob for apples.
- Watch Disney’s "Halloweentown" movies. Classics are the best kinds of movies!
