The 7 Biggest Fall Fashion Trends

Fall is coming, and with that comes a new wave of fashion trends, too. From oversized blazers to silk blouses, here are the seven biggest trends of the upcoming season.

Plaid pants

Plaid has been around for a couple seasons now, but plaid pants are particularly making a name for themselves in the fashion game. I'm beyond grateful for this trend because not only are these bottoms cute as hell, but they're beyond comfortable while remaining socially acceptable to wear to class and work.

Silk

This beautiful material can be seen on blouses, dresses, and skirts. The silk-paired-with-denim trend is becoming more and more common, straying away from the general assumption that silk is a fabric reserved for special occasions.

Tie-dye

This "Summer Camp 2012" look is coming back into style (I honestly don't think it ever left). Paired with some denim cutoffs or fitted joggers, the tie-dye print can be styled for a more casual yet vibrant look.

Oversized blazers

Unlike the classic fitted and formal one, an oversized blazer calls for a more casual and relaxed look. Styled with some denim or even leggings, an oversized blazer can be work on multiple occasions.

Small (like really small) purses

Though minuscule purses have little to no practicality, they do add a fun touch to any outfit.

Animal prints

Leopard, zebra and snake prints are making a comeback, and my eight-year-old self would be very happy. These bold prints can mainly be seen on turtlenecks, dresses, and skirts- adding a funky pop of pattern to any basic outfit.

Pastel sweaters

Though the season calls for warm-toned colors like reds and browns, pastel colors can be seen in multiple stores' fall collections.

Daily Fun Lists

One of the most dreaded places on campus is the library. Nothing awesome ever happens here. Usually, the only reason you're here is because you've procrastinated so long that the library is the only place you'll actually get stuff done. It gives you this feeling of sadness and impending doom. You have no idea how this is going to go or how long you'll be here, but you do know it is about to be the most excruciating experiences yet. But it has to get done, so you drag yourself to the lovely library.

With each new year comes new goals.

Deciding on a goal can be hard, unsure of what to change for this new year. A new goal for myself is to be happier and take care of myself more. I am a very driven person; so driven that I commit to a million and ten things.

It is that time of year again. Christmastime. It is one of my favorite seasons for a myriad of reasons. Here are just a few reasons why I love Christmas. This list is in no order of importance.

1. The Christmas decorations

I am that person who will decorate directly after Thanksgiving is over. This year, my roommates and I put the tree up in our apartment before we even left for Thanksgiving break. It is a great stress reliever for me to just sit in my living room and work on the huge amount of work I have before the semester is over.
